When I turn on my vivicam 5022 it just starts snaping pictures. No matter what button I push it snaps pictures. Now it will not let me download any pictures to my computer through the usb cable. The camera...

If you can get into the menu, scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. If not, try this...remove the card and batteries...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes....insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. As for downloading pics, the easiest way is to use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

I can turn the camera on and when I go to take a picture it takes one and turns off.. on the four indicator lights the far left one blinks yellow..

Hi Dear,

This issues seems to be because of discharged battery. As the battery is not charged enough to take more than one shot. Hence it automatically switches off you camera after one shot.
Please change your battery to full, and then try to take some shot.

Let us know if the problem persist.

Have a nice day.

I have a Canon Power Shot. I turn it on and then

Try a different battery anyway. I had the same problem with a Kodak a couple years ago. I put in a new battery and it started working fine.

remove the flat battery in the middle of the camera and the memory will reset itself, but you will lose your pictures, then after 10 minutes replace the flat battery and everything will be back to normal. if the flat battery is death change it for a fresh one.

good luck

Power key doesn´t work

There must be a problem with your batteries. If you have recently charged your batteries and it happens again, you should try a new set of rechargeable batteries.

You can try conserving charging power usage on camera by turning the flash off so that it doesn't precharge for the next shot.

Camer won't turn on.

I had the same problem and realised the camera is sensitive to the type of batteries you use.  I had put in non rechargable batteries.  Some brands seem to work and some don't, but rechargables are best, particularly the original sony batteries .  Try changing the batteries.

We had similiar problems with ours until we started making sure the camera was kept warm when it was shut off. For some reason, it and the batteries don't like the cold...we were able to extend the battery life if we kept it covered when we weren't using it.
