Get a wide bladed flathead and find the widest part of the **** between the focus ring and zoom. work the blade like you are trying to widen the the slot, do this all the way around till it pops back into place.

I had this same problem. My lense was also loose, if fact, I was able to just remove the entire lens, from the body of the projector. I noticed there is a very small screw, on top of the lense, where the lens threads into the projector. That screw must be loosened, insert the lens into the body of the projector, then retighten the screw. This should allow you to turn the focus ring and the zoom ring, without the lens coming out. My only thing is, my zoom adjustment is really stiff now. If I back off the screw a little, the lens becomes loose within the projector body. Do I need to grease somewhere???

I have an Infocus LP70. My question/problem is in regards to the lens. I dropped the projector from about a foot off the carpet and onto the lens. The focus/zoom became jammed together, AND the lens came...

What I would try to do is, loosen the screw so its not stiff to adjust, adjust the lens to the right position then tighten up the screw again. Hopefully this should work for you!!

Infocus lp770, trying to hook up to apple computer using the usb port? will this connection work to run the 770?

You need to hook it up using VGA or HDMI for it to transmit information from your Apple computer to projector. You can check the Ports available at the back of your projector and you can Purchase cable needed from either Apple or Infocus or any computer store.
Hope this helps.

Out of focus

make sure it's within projection range (5' - 20') and the zoom and lens focus work properly. if all else fails, replace the lens.

The lens, both focus and zoom, is stuck lp70+

believe it or not, the easiest way to unstick it is to force-turn it. apply a little force at a time. don't worry about breaking it (unless you are a steel worker). it just jumped a thread.

Upper left corner prismatic simicircle when screen is black

Sounds as if you have some sort of foreign body within the unit possibly an insect I know this sounds strange but I have removed Mice from sets before now ?. How they get in is a mystery but they do and they can bung up the works .
A less helpful reason is that heat has caused some plastic to crack and drop into the lens mechanism , I have had that happen a few times usually from off the fan blades above the lamp now inverted on celling mounts puts the fan under the heat . An inspection by a qualified engineer may be the first step then decide what to do when you are told the cause ?. .. Regards Vortash

Infocus LP70 dropped and now the focus is jammed.

try pulling the outer ring out a little while twisting it (you won't break it). then try the inner ring. if it wiggles, you need to take it apart- and that's not a pretty job.
