The antenna that you found is purely for the Wireless LAN. The Keyboard and Mouse are already paired with the bluetooth receiver. This is "HIDDEN" in the mouse battery compartment. But not where you'll see it... it is in the LID of the compartment.

Wireless mouse pa3706e-1et1 no longer operates my computer even though new battery installed and software re-installed.

Aside from the fact that the mouse may have gone bad, have you tried pushing the "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse? Also, is the battery in correctly?
Change the USB port to see if that helps.

Purchased new laptop and wireless mouse, first day worked great, after a week tried to use mouse again.....just not working have replaced battery no luck

I would try unplugging the usb receiver and restarting the computer.
Then plug it back in.
Sadly, with these, along with replacing the battery, that's the only option.

New not working

Refer to the manual, in some cases you have to install the drivers that came with the mouse, first before it will be recognised. Use your old mouse for this part.
Secondly make sure that the batteries are inserted to the correct polarity, and that the USB receiver is connected to USB port at rear of Computer.
Try using another USB port.
Please rate my expertise.
Thanks

Check underneath the mouse, there should be a small button, it should be the reset switch press and hold down for 3 to 5 seconds your laptop should be able to recognize it then.

Make sure the mouse is linking to the wireless receiver on you have plugged into the computer (there should be a reset button on the mouse to establish a new link).
