Question about Computers & Internet
I have an HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop with an ATA device drive D:. My problem is this device shows working normally thru hardware check but 100% full in used space. I have photos loaded onto this drive but nowhere near full. When performing check disk, it asks to be formated first. How do I get this drive back from nowhere land? It shows up when viewing Computer, but with no free space or total size. I reseated the drive and this did not resolve the problem.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Little long process.. try to understand and do it..
First, Boot your system with WinXp-Sp2 Installation disk.. then select repair option when it asks.. you will get Windows console..it will prompt for administrator password.. enter it.. then you will come to c:\windows
type command chkdsk /r
after chkdsk completes 100%, type this:
now try accessing d:\
