Looking for replacement motherboard for IDEQ 200P

Lightning -> DSL line -> DSL Modem -> Router -> IDEQ 200P motherboard (Poof!). Need replacement. Can any one help with a source? No, Biostar no longer carries parts for their own line.

SOURCE: Biostar IDEQ 300g MCE-I - Pentium-D supported?

Ofcourse it will support. Why not? Your CPU is LGA775 and the motherboard on the SMALL form factor PC supports that socket. The motherboard is a 915G chipset. HAS to support your motherboard.

SOURCE: New agp video card won't work.

The only way to tell if it is the connection or the card is to try a different card. Take it back to the place you bought it from and have them swap it for a new one.

SOURCE: biostar u8668 grand does not power up when agp

Good Day sir, try to check the CMOS/BIOS setup, and go look for Initial Display First, there are several options, Onboard / AGP / PCI. OR, after you remove your AGP, clear the CMOS/BIOS setup. find the jumper wire near the battery this sets your motherboard to factory setup and uses the onboard VGA. test the pc without the AGP.

Dial up connection needs a modem for the authentication with a telephone number - without modem no one can work with internet .yes if you want to use your laptop wireless you can do it but to do that you should have a DSL service with a wireless router .
this is how the connections in DSL is been done
DSL(telephone line) ->modem->wireless router->computer

Cant get into 192.168.1.1 to fix problem

Do you have cable or DSL internet service? On a DSL setup the router is at 192.168.2.1 . At the run command, ipconfig/all will give all the current settings of your network connection. The line with default gateway is your router address.

Check the status lights on your router and modem as well as the network connection on your computer. You may want to try connecting to the modem itself with a wired connection and then reconnect the router and see if you can connect with a wired connection from the computer to the router.

If your network works normally with a wired connection, use the device manager to check your wireless connection. Also go through the router setup to check that no settings have been changed.

If you have missing lights on either the modem or the router, check the cables (replace them if you can) and transformers. A call for service from your ISP may be needed if the modem isn't connecting. (At least once, my DSL network went down after a lightning strike damaged the signal filter where the DSL split from the phone line.)

I hope this helps.

(I have an older router that does not give a local area connection if it loses the WAN from the modem.)

When I connect my WRT54G to the Filter, the phone line becomes engaged, any ideas ? Mann2007

the router connects to the DSL / CABLE modem and NOT to a DSL filter.

If thats what has happened you could damage the router

you should connect as per the instructions that came with your router

eg.

Phone line > Modem > Router > Rest of network

Note there is no filter between the line and the modem !

filters are meant to go before phones and faxes etc not into a network

No connection after lightning and thunder

There's ALWAYS the chance of damage.

If you have reset both the router and the cable modem and it still doesn't work, bypass the router and try connecting the system directly to the Cable/DSL modem. If your computer works in that situation the router has been affected, double check your connections between modem & router AND between router and computer.

If you still cannot connect, call your internet provider and inquire re: system status in your area. If all is good ask them if they can 'see' your modem. They will check their equipment to see if your modem is connected and communicating with their system. If they don't find it the modem is suspect.

If they can see the modem but you are still unable to connect to the internet via the router/switch, then the router/switch is the culprit.

Of course this all assumes everthing is OK with your computer. Otherwise this becomes a much larger troubleshooting issue. But let's not go there yet.

BIG TIP: Invest in a lightweight UPS or a line conditioner, particularly one that will protect your inbound Internet connection (coax or phone line) as well as the Ethernet port protection you need. In the end it's a LOT cheaper than replacing lightning damaged hardware.

Surge Protectors are of limited value because a majority (80% or more) of all power related electronic issues, especially regarding solid state circuitry, is due to BROWNOUTS, not surges. Something the manufacturers of surge suppression strips & related hardware are reluctant to admit, but that's why they can reliably afford to insure their surge protectors for ridiculous sums.

Apply this same principle to home entertainment systems, tv's (especially LCD & Plasma), game consoles, and any other valuable home electronics.

I can't get on the internet

>> do i have to call my internet service provider to activate my modem?

Yes.

Each modem has a unique "address", and your I.S.P. uses that address to authorize each DSL-modem that tries to connect to their network.

Or, if the two of you live in the same house/apartment, you should just buy a "router". Then, both computers can connect to the router, and the router connects to the DSL modem, and both of you can "share" the monthly fee for the _one_ Internet connection.

Ic help

Scenario 2 to 4: Scenario 2) The modem does not have an Ethernet port. The modem is a dial-up modem for traditional dial-up service. To use the Router, you need a cable/DSL modem and high-speed Internet connection.

Scenario 3) You cannot use the DSL service to connect manually to the Internet.
After you have installed the Router, it will automatically connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), so you no longer need to connect manually.

Scenario 4) The DSL telephone line does not fit into the Router’s Internet port.
The Router does not replace your modem. You still need your DSL modem in order to use the Router. Connect the telephone line to the DSL modem, insert the setup CD into your computer, and then follow the on-screen instructions

I hate my server and their little black box toooooo!

If all of the lights go out or the DSL light stars blinking with no other light on then that usually indicates the modem lost sync. That is usually caused by noise on the DSL line. If the DSL line and phone line are on the same cables then you should have filters that need to be installed on every device connected to the phone lines except for the DSL modem. If that has already been done then you would need to contact you service provider as the issue is most likely going to be a problem with the phone lines in your house or their lines outside your house. Your ISP will be able to test your DSL line to get an idea of where the problem is. It is also possible that this is an issue with your modem and it needs to be replaced. Ig you are leasing the modem then once again you will need to speak with your ISP about it. If you bought the modem then you would need to contact Seimens about it if the modem is the problem.
