Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television
Tv turns off with a soft "pop" sound...attempts to turn tv back on yield same result.
The problem is likely the PSU. The pop sound is an internal component that is frying (typically a blown capacitor on PSU).
Sometimes it is possible to spot the problem at a glance, as you will see a burnt resistor or a capacitor that is bulged or leaking.
Do not keep turning on the TV and disconnect power, further attempt to turn on the TV may result in further damage to the internal components.
If you need to contact a technician, ring LG at the number listed on the owners manual.
