What causes your new movies not to upload or play

New movies may be compressed using newer codecs than you have installed on your computer. The software you have may not know how to decode the newer compression format. Download VLC from https://www.videolan.org/index.html
This video player plays most video formats and will notify you when a new version is released.

I hooked my tablet to my tv usb after downloading some movies some will play some not

Did you download in tablet or computer? Are those movies olayable on computer? If they play on computer it would mean that your tv cannot handle certain codecs or formats and you need to re-convert those movies to format understandable by tv. If they dont play on computer then either file is corrupted or you downloaded "fake" movie

How come I cannot watch video downloaded from play movies but I have audio from the movie

Your playback unit does not have the proper software codecs to play back the video portion. Happens all the time with newer tv's that allow you to play back downloaded movies. Some will work, others do not.

My LG BD350C will not play certain movies. "Cannot read codec". Is there a firmware update? Thanks

You need to install a newer codec pack.
Google search "Codec (vista or win 7)" for several options.

The dvd player will play a movie for about 10 minutes then it gets freezes and does not play anymore. It's brand new. had it about 2 months.

I found out this tv/dvd will not play certain movies that are rented from netflix is that their dvd have a restricted thing, and this tv will not read the movies that are on certain disks. It plays movies good that I rented here in town. So theres nothing really wrong with the player itself. I did some reading and this is what I assummed.

Try going to sony's website and downloading the firmware update for your player. The Blu-Ray format changes so much that sometimes the newer movies will not play without an update. You will need to download the firmware and burn it on a cd-rom. Pay special attention to the instructions....there is a certain procedure and if you do not follow the instructions you can damage your player.

We have a GO DVD+VCR model No. DV2140. We cannot

If you are trying to play blue ray on this unit you are out of luck no amount of firmware will make it play something it is not capable of doing.

I have certain movies for my grandchildren. There

I assume the picture after viewing your "certain movie" you have a snowy type of picture with sound? This is because your "certain movie" will have a bad section or worn section of tape & is making the heads dirty. Is there a part of the "certain movie" that gives wavy lines or the picture breaks up? If a tape is constantly used it causes the oxide coating of the tape to flake & dirty your heads. You could try a head cleaning tape although these sometimes do not do a thorough clean.
