You are probably right ... probably worn ... probably loose ... probably has a little anti-freeze spilled on it. If it is troublesome ... you can treat it with belt dressing ... which MAY make it worse ... or you can replace the belts. You are probably doomed to some squeeking on your 12+ year old car ... sorry ... If you replace the belts, make sure you clean all the pulleys ... Spray Brake Cleaner is good for this.
In my experience ... just like spilled milk ... one drop of spilled anti freeze suddenly looks like 10 gallons as far as squeekability is concerned.
Another option ... turn up the radio ...
