Question about Asko D1706 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Water in the bottom at the end of the cycle

The dishwasher works fine, but when the cycle ends, about one inch of water remains in the bottom. The problem originated about a week ago, after the door was opened during the normal washing cycle. We are still using the dishwasher, but I have to fiddle with the control knob to have the bottom drained.

Why will my dishwasher Electrolux model #EIDW5905JS0A, not drain completely at the end of its cycle.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EIDW5905JS, will not completely drain at the end of the cycle. It is not normal for water to remain in the bottom of the tub at the end of a cycle. If water remains in the bottom of the tub at the end of a cycle, the dishwasher may not be draining properly. Please follow these troubleshooting tips:

1)If unit is hooked up to a garbage disposal, make sure the disposer is empty.

2)If unit is hooked up to a new food waste disposer, check to see if the "knockout" plug located inside the disposal inlet has been removed.

3)Check to see if drain hose is kinked.

4)Make sure cycle is complete, not in a pause.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

The unit runs through cycle fine, but ends with water remaining in the bottom, that has not been drained and dishes are covered with soap residue.

KUDIO1IL8L6 Kithenaide dishwasher. Water remains in bottom of dishwasher about 1 inch deep afeter all cycles are complete. I have checked to see if it drains and it does twice although it seems slow to me....

You have a restriction in the return of the unit. This also leads to sanitation issues. Pull the bottom basket, remove the lower arm and using a screw driver, remove the return cover. Clean out any obstruction and reassemble. If you are still having problems, your pump may be worn to the point it will not remove all the water at the end of the cycle.

Standing water at end of cycle

It is normal for a small amount of water to remain after each loadof dishes is cleaned.

Is the water clear or cloudy?
Is there an odor?

How deep is the water? Less the two inches?

Post back with your findings here. OK?
