If you every got water or anything on them they will not work, and a new key board is what you need.

You can clean a sticky keyboard usually. First of all, put it on it's side and blow out the dirt with compressed air". Then turn it upside down and shake it a bit. More stuff came out? Blow it off again.

Then dip Qtips into some rubbing and clean around the keys. If a key is easy to remove, do that first. Try the three keys you mentioned. Good luck with it!

Hi

Try system restore. Go to START>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM RESTORE>CHOOSE PREVIOUS RESTORE DATES. Use other restore dates if needed.

Or try this

If your laptop keyboard types wrong characters, it is rather a software issue than an hardware one. This can happen if you accidentally press certain keys on your keyboard, which enable a certain kind of function.
Try the following steps in case your laptop keyboard displays wrong characters:
1.Go to the control panel option
Click ? 'Regional and Language Services' ? 'Languages' ? 'Details' ? 'Key Settings'
2.Select the option 'Switch Between Input Languages' and click on 'Change Key Sequence'
3.Ensure that all the check boxes are unchecked in this window and do the same for 'Switch to...(Keyboard Type)'
4.Click ?
'Ok' ? 'Ok' ? 'Apply' ? 'Ok'.
This should solve your problem

Daniel, Sounds like you may have a virus. Hardware issues are usually an all or nothing, either works or doesn't and wouldn't change to different keys on reboot. I would suggest running a virus scan with updated virus definitions. Neil

Dell Inspiron 1440 keyboard keys issue

you need to isolate this issue first.
where are you typing? inside IE or in MSWord?
If both has issues then try typing in the DOS Command Window. If same issue try to boot in safe mode and check if you will still be getting same issue in safe mode. If all yes try to check the bios and update it by downloading the latest bios version from the support site from dell.

I have an Acer Aspire 5515 laptop. When Im typing the lers sometimes dont show up. Ihav to hit the letter key a couple times for it to work sometimes. any suggestions on how i can fix it?

first of all u need to remove ur power plug and the battery
then pull a little Aciton around each button which stuck
use any cool air dryer and direct it through these buttons which u have put an Aciton on it
keep ur cool dryer ( not hot air cool air plz) about 5 min. directed to the buttons
leave it about 30 min
if this not work then try this

u need to clean ur keyboard cause it seems that ur key is stuck so u need to dissassemble ur keyboard and clean the carbon points in ur keyboard (after u dissassemble it) using Aciton and tishue
otherwise u need to change ur keyboard

HP Laptop keyboard fails... sporadically

I suspect your problem may be caused by the wireless keyboard, even if you are not using it. You may be using your computer in a "noisy" environment where the wireless transceiver is picking up random signals and corrupting the keyboard interface. Or the wireless keyboard driver could also be at fault.

Can you de-install the wireless keyboard from your system and see if the problem occurs again?

NOTE: I had weird problems with my Microsoft wireless mouse until MS came out with an updated driver for it.
