Some feature on your opener must have a switch that is stick in the closed (on) position. Possibly, you put a near dead battery into the device? Please check with a volt meter.

You could check the device with a volt/ohm meter in the circuit ... put the meter between the + post of the battery and the + contact of the device. Put a wire on the - battery and the - device to complete the circuit ... if you are using power, there should be some amp reading on the meter.

Garage door won't open.

The most common cause of this problem is the door sensors have been bumped and misaligned. They each have a small light that should be lit and not flickering. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the lights are lit.

Your motor unit should have a learn button on it. Once you find this, follow the instructions below:

1-Press learn button on motor
2-Within 30 secs, enter a new 4 digit pin on key pad. Press and hold enter button.
3-Release enter button when lights blink on the motor unit.
