Dishawasher does not clean dishes

Most of the time your nozzles are clogged or the drain in the bottom is clogged. open up the empty dishwasher and do a thorough cleaning. I am assuming that it is functioning normally, except the dishes are not clean. also use a good detergent and conditioner.
hope this helps

After dishwasher run through it's cycle, the water does not drain properly and remains in bottom of the dishwasher

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose-filter assembly or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the front bottom panel for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. Take off the bottom access panel to clean the drain pump filter and hose. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

After the wash cycle is complete, a bunch of the soap is solidified and stuck in the soap drawer. And soap is smeared on some of the dishes. we are using cascade automatic dishawashing detergent. thanks

Greetings,
there is no water spraying into your soap area to wash it out...make sure the spray arms are not clogged..look to see if the holes in spray-arms are open, if not open them up...now , if okay, its possible little or no water is coming in...start d/w and see if water is entering tub. if so, its possible wash motor is bad just not spraying the water. clean out and sump area or screen.consult your manual for info on how to clean out if needed...if ok, check to see if wash motor is coming on..if it is then its defective and not moving water to sprayers

Water does not come out when in spinning cycle. the tub just turns and turns but the water is not draining properly or better yet, it does not come out at all.

Sounds like aproblem with the drain pump.
could be a loose or worn belt or the pump could be bad. Giving directions on how to correct is impossable for me not knowing what type of washer you have. On some top loaders if you tilt the washer backwards you can see the pump & belt and check them.
Hope this helps

My dishwasher is keeping water at the bottom of the washer and will not drain entirely How do I get into the machine to possibly clean out ay food trapped?

Try running the garbage disposal, most dishawashers discharge into the disposal.

After that, try running hotwater through the disposal (with it off) for 5-10 minutes to flush out any grease.

Then, run dishwasher again.

Sprayer arm is not spinning, water comes up through weakly.

your water supply is too low. he watervalve (inlet valve) may be clogged. With insufficent supply you get a low fill and not enough water to fully enage the pump's power.

Won't drain water out?

Regardless of the brand, all dishwashers operate on the same principles.. in this case you said you checked for clogs and there are none..however.. have you checked the fileter screen for the drain, the hoses to the pump, the pump itself, the exit hose off the pump, the drain hose coming from the dishawasher to your house drain and is your house drain restricting water flow? Also.. is the pump actually operating at any time? These are the funadamental items to check..any one of them can cause your dishawasher to not drain properly. Hope this helps..
