Hello charlotte123

There are several virii "in the wild" (out there) that will disable NAV (Norton Antivirus (The antivirus component of your Norton 26)) autoprotect.

If you cannot get Norton 360 autoprotect to remain enabled, you could have picked up a virus.

1st, however, make sure that the user profile you are logged into has Administrator rights. If you don't know how to do this, just let us know. If you are the only user, then, chances are, you have Administrator privileges.

If the user profile you are in is not an Administrator, log out then back in as one of the Administrator profiles. Then see if you can get NAV autoprotect enabled again.

If you still cannot get autoprotect enabled, then, you may have picked up a virus. At the very least, we need to rule that possibility out.

There are some web sites that you can navigate to that will perform a free AV scan of your hard disk.

Please, run an AV scan of your hard disk at one or more of these sites. Then post back here and let us know the results. We'll continue on (if your issue isn't resolved) w/ helping you to resolve this issue.

Kaspersky is a very good AV. HERE is their online AV scanner.

eTrust is another good AV. HERE is their online AV scanner.

Trend-Micro is another source for online AV scanning. You can find their scanner HERE.

Please, let me know if this response was a "FixYa"
or "Helpful" for you or, of course, if you have
any additional questions, etc on this topic.

If the information I provided you w/ resolved your
problem or lead you to a resolution for your
problem or an answer to your question, then, a
"FixYa" rating would be most appreciated. :)

It is best to wait until the problem has been
resolved b4 scoring the experts who participated in
solving your problem or answering your question.
(Once you enter a rating, the problem will be
closed and we will not be able to continue to assist

Very often it will take more than one exchange of
information between you and an expert in order to
resolve your problem. If a proposed solution
doesn't work for you, don't rate it yet. Instead,
post back here letting us know and we'll continue to
work w/ you until we find a solution that does work
for you.

Thank you
BJ @:)

The online AV scan sites I gave you are very trust worthy. If you're prompted to install an ActiveX plugin, go ahead and let them.

Before beggining an AV scan, close ALL programs/applications (Except the Internet Browser you are using to access the web site).

Hold off on using your computer for anything else until the scan is completed. It may take a while so keep a lot of patience in your pockets... @:)

Thank you, charlotte123 for your kind "FixYa" rating!

I'm assuming that you were able to pin down the problem then, yes? Excellent!

Thank you for using FixYa and, please, do come back anytime you have questions or problems that you'd like us to help you w/. We're here to help.

    BJ @:)

First of all, restart the computer if you haven't. If that doesn't work, reinstall the program. If it still won't work, well let's wait until you've reinstalled to make any further recommendations.

You see the 'lighting' symbol at the top of the round 4-way switch on the back of the camera - while in the record mode, pressing the 'up' switch will cycle thru the various flash settings: Auto, Fill-in, Red-Eye reduction, Off.
On the Flash settings, turn it from auto to off
Hope this helped?

When i turnt on my camra it says protected card how can i fix it

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
