I have done everything that Help had said and still no sound from my speakers. Every once in a while I will turn it on and I will shut off something on the task manager and I will have sound but when I...

you need to go into your program files and delete the audio files, then go to the Toshiba web site and download and reinstall the audio drivers then you should get sound again.

This happened to me many times so it might not work right away.

Can I install a better CPU into my Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8834 17 1 Widescreen Notebook Computer then the AMD Turion X2 Processor RM-70 it came with?

Changing CPU is a serious change. When your unit was built the processor speed and type were written into the BIOS. When we change the CPU to a different type there is a chance that the BIOS will not recognize it and refuse to boot up. Also Windows was installed with the original CPU and a major change in hardware could mess up Windows.

I did some research and found this model comes with a 2.0-GHz AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core RM-70 CPU and 4GB of RAM. This is not the fastest CPU that can be put in a laptop but a very good one. (faster than mine)

I can guide you through the steps to replace it but my advice is stick with what you have until it breaks and buy a faster laptop. The upgrade won't gain you enough to justify the expense.

dou core 2 and mine states Centrino Technology ?
Click on Start > Right click my Computer > propities Then it should tell, Very unlikely to have a misplaced sticker.
-

also online models have the AMD Turion processor
AMD is cheaper in some cases, they do not advertise a lot like Intel, there fore you can get them at a lower price.

Is there anything else you need to know?
