My sim is requesting me for my sim network pin..i dont know what to do please help me mr adeem.. :(

If your phone is asking for a "Network" pin it means your handset is locked onto a different network to that of your SIM card.
If this is the case, then you need to:
A) Get the handset "Unlocked"
B) Get a SIM card, relevant to the handsets carrier.
If the handset is simply asking for a PIN it may just be your SIM card PIN it requires.
If you didn't set a PIN on your SIM card the usual default pins are:
0000
1111
1234
5555
Unless you have a Wave SIM and that is different for every SIM
If you enter the PIN incorrectly after usually 3 attempts your SIM is blocked and you will need a PUK code to unlock it.
PUK codes can only be given by the SIM cards carrier (Service Provider) this means that you will have to call them and ask for it.
You will need either the SIM Card number (On the front of the SIM) or the SIMS mobile number.

SAMSUNG S5233 WHY THEMES IS NOT DOWNLAOD ?

Tired of memorizing new PIN codes? We show you how to change your SIM card's various PIN and PUK codes in less than 5 seconds.

Although most people remember their primary SIM PIN code, those other codes - used for various verification purposes - are never to be found when needed. Below we've included a set of short codes which, when entered on a handset's standby screen, will let you easily change PIN and PUK (short for Pin Unlock Code) codes - but keep in mind, they may not work with all handsets and mobile operators.

More importantly, when changing ones PUK codes there'll be no help to get from the mobile operator if the new codes are forgotten, so make sure to write any changes down alongside the old PUK codes. Also, please note that the codes should be entered without the spaces shown below.

Change SIM Card PIN

** 04 * old PIN * new PIN * new PIN #

Change SIM Card PIN 2 (Write down the new code)

** 042 * old PIN * new PIN * new PIN #

Change SIM Card PUK (Write down the new code)

** 05 * old PUK * new PUK * new PUK #

Change SIM Card PUK 2 (Write down the new code)

** 052 * old PUK * new PUK * new PUK #

I have brought a china mobile CITYCALL U800+ from DUBAI TO MUMBAI now i am facing problem invalid sim,i am a vodafone user

Were you using this handset in Dubai or is this the first time? "Invalid sim" has two main issues, 1. sim lock, 2. sim connector problem.

First, open the battery cover, remove the sim card (if it's inside the battery compartment) and clean the metal contacts of the sim connector using a soft brush or ear bud dipped in alcohol or acetone or spirit. After it's cleaned, let it dry and again reinsert the sim card, install the battery and try again.

If it's been used before, then probably you still have the old sim card, if so install it and try again. If it's ok then borrow a sim card from a friend (for few minutes) or use your old or another available (working) sim card and try again. If both the old sim card and the other (borrowed) sim cards are working without any problem, then there's problem with your vodafone sim card which obstructs it to install on the Handset, perhaps voltage issue, in that case, you better get another replacement from Vodafone.

Or if the old one which you were using works, then your phone is sim locked, try to reset it using the default code 1122 or 3344 or 1234 or 5678 (should be on the manual) [click here for more info about china mobile codes]. To do this, go to settings, select "Restore" and enter the code, proceed forward giving positive inputs "yes" or "Ok".

After it's restarted, try again with all the sim cards.

If all the sim cards show the same error, then the handset might needs to be repaired or need to be replaced.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

My phone no.9903378821 sernvice provided by Airtel having of no signal.Showing EMERGENCY CALL ONLY

Switch off your phone, remove the battery and take out the Sim card. Now try it on another working Mobile or alternatively you can try another sim card on your mobile handset. If the sim card is working on another mobile, then the problem is with your handset, if it's neither working on another mobile, then you need to get another replacement. To get a new replacement, visit the nearest Airtel Service Center (any airtel shop), they'll give you another sim card with the same number and without any fee.

In case, your sim card is working on another mobile and another sim card isn't working on your handset. First check the sim connector, if you see that the sim card is detected by the Mobile, and it's only without network, probably, there's problem with the Network IC or antenna switch (another ic) or could be water logged problem. The only solution is to get it repaired from a Samsung Service Center or from any Mobile Repairing shop (I think you are in india, if so, most mobile repairing centers repair almost all brands in one place). They'll easily fix it for you. First they will check the software and then the hardware. If any parts replacement is necessary, they'll do it for you with a small fee.

I wish you good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I currently have a Vodafone SIM but am switching networks. When I put the new SIM in, it doesn't work. I have been told I need to put a PUK code somewhere, but Vodafone isn't telling me anything on where...

The Vodafone SIM card will only work on the Vodafone mobile network. If you want to use different mobile provider then you need to purchase a new SIM card from that mobile provider.
If you intend to use your old mobile phone that was connected to Vodafone, then if this mobile phone is locked to Vodafone, then the new SIM card from a different mobile provider will not work in the old mobile phone unless it has been unlocked to allow you to use any SIM card/mobile provider.
If you need to unlock this mobile, then please leave me a comment so I can provide you with further information.
