(Some universal remotes do not work with newer televisions, so the following instructions may not work)

Turn on the television.
Hold the 'CODE SEARCH' button for 3 seconds until the LED light is solid red.
Press the 'TV' button; the LED will blink once and remain solid red.
Point the remote at the TV and slowly and repeatedly press the 'ON/OFF' button until the TV turns off. (The LED will blink once each time you press the 'ON/OFF' button.
Once the TV turns off, press the 'ENTER' button; the code will be stored in the remote and the LED will turn off.
The remote should now work with the TV; test it out to see how it works.

(The remote may be too old for your TV; if the above instructions don't work you may need to get a newer remote.)

I cannot find a solution to getting our remote to work. TV model is Flatron. The remote is Zoom Universal.

WIth out knowing which Zoom remote you have I have condensed the instructions. You should be able to program your remote in one of two ways.
First try entering the codes one at a time below. Those are the code numbers for LG television for Zoom remotes. Just follow the step by step instructions and one of those codes should work your tv. If by chance none of the codes work, I have also included instructions on how to do a code search to search for your televisions code..
At the bottom is the link to Zoom where I found this information.. Good luck!!!

ZOOM LG CODES 004 005 006 012 019 056 057 058 082 155 156 171 172

Instructions for programing remote by entering codes

1. Manually turn on the TV.

2. Press and Hold the CODE SEARCH button until the
INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then
release the CODE SEARCH Button.

3. Press and release the TV button.
(The INDICATOR LIGHT will
blink, then remain lit.)

4. Enter the code using the
Number Buttons. After your
code is entered, the INDICATOR
LIGHT will turn off.

5. Aim the remote at your TV and
press the OFF·ON button. Your
TV should turn off.
Note: If your TV does not
respond, try all the codes for
your brand.

If your TV does not respond after you have
tried all the codes for your brand try
searching for your code by following the steps below.

2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH

I cant control my AIWA TV WITH A jumbo universal control.THE CONTROL NUMBER DOES NOT WORK that is given with the instructions

Have you tried the auto-code search?
Unfortunately, you can't teach this remote new codes, so if none of the AIWA codes from the manual work, and you run through this auto-program sequence and it doesn't work, there is no other solution for your TV.

To have the remote try each TV code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.
I hope that helps.

I bought a universal jumbo remote and i followed instructions i to program it to my Jvc tv but it does not work can u help?

Make sure you try every code in the list for your JVC TV.
The codes for your Jumbo Universal Remote to control a JVC television are 013, 054, 055, 060, 065, 067, and 089.

To program your remote by entering a code, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Enter the first set of 3-digit codes from the list. The LED will blink once every keypress. After the 3rd digit, the red LED will turn off indicating that the code was recognized for the device. If the code was not compatible, the LED will flash several times and you need to return to step 2 to try that code again or to try the next code in the list.
  5. After the LED has turned off, aim the remote at the TV and press ON/OFF. If the device turns off, you have used the correct code and the remote was successfully programed. If the device does not power off, return to step 2 and try again with the next code in the list.
