Thanks potex18! Sorry, may i verify on few things with your advise below? (dear experts, appreciate your advise as well) a) upon booting the Cd, it prompts to install OS,and will delete all my files in C: drive. If i proceed, will it delete all my files in c?or i just simply ignore it? sorry, i'm a bit concern to keep my data and a bit confused on why they put that kind of notifications in the first place, if its not deleting the files...pls advise? b) to copy Mup.sys, but it takes a while for the new pc to detect my hddisk..will try it once it appear. Hi guys, Apprecite for ur expert advise pls? I boot my laptop (Acer Travelmate 4050 series) but it was halted during the booting process (no response after i key-in my windows password). I plugged out the power cord to reboot. (normally on 2nd attempt it will run/reboot smoothly). Unfortunately, it shows one error screen, and give selection to choose to run in safe mode or as per normal.(along with several other options). Selecting any of these selections, the system halted again when executing Mup.Sys . I tried with 2 method : a) chg boot sequence to cdrom -> use bootable cd (provided when purchase the laptop) -> it prompts "this will install windows in ur primary disk,Note:all data in primary disk will be destroyed " q : some poeple said this will not delete the files in my primary disk, is it true? b) i took out the harddisk and put it in external case.but when tried to acess the data, was prompted with message "e:\ is not acessible, error performing inpage operations " pls help to advise, should there is still hope to retrieve my data? Solution #1 posted on May 31, 2010 potek18 Rank: Wiz Expert Rating: 82.62% , 42 votes Hi. In order to resolve this issue. Boot in to your CDROM drive while the operating system disk is in there then run the recovery console. This will put the Mup.sys file back to your computer. Possible cause of this is corrupted mup.sys file which is essential in booting the harddrive. Another troubleshooting is, since you took out the harddrive and put it in your enclosure look for computer with the same operating system and copy its mup.sys file into your harddrive. This file is located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers. That will do the trick. May 31, 2010

Yes it will delete all your files in C. You can skip this step to allow windows install on top of the previous installation so that all the files are present. If you select the option then every file on c drive will get deleted and you will loose your data.

Let us know if you have something more to know else please accept the suggestion.
Thank You.

    Hi e-guru,

previously the options were only to accept the installation or exit.

-installations > leads to deleting all my data & install new OS

    - exit > leads to ejecting my boot cd and back to square one..

i was unable to get mup.sys for version of Xp home,so i tried to repair it using chkdsk commnd

(hdisk attached to external enclosure, and perfrom using another pc)

open completion, i still unable to view my files attcahed on my desktop (view through new pc).

thus, without the new mup.sys, i put the bootable cd in my problematic laptop, attach back the hdisk, and reboot. Only then, it can reach to the OS. and this time no more recovery console..

Thanks for your advise e-guru ( and potex18 too ~) . hope this helps the rest who hit the same issue like me. Good day, guys~

I have 2002 Durango with 360CID engine. #8 cylinder does not fire.

Had a similar problem years ago. Since everything is electronic very hard to do self diagnostic. Make sure the boot is completely into the "Rotor" cap. Are these original wires? Not sure if some still use graphite or all copper these days. Worst case is carbon build up on # 8 piston. compression test is 1st thing. Was plug anode clean or pitted? May not be a whole bunch of help but ck these things out 1st. Best advise is think simple before you freak out.

Thanks for all the advice from your experts,we realised their was no such software available for the L342i, we always suspected as your last expert advised that we had to email photos to ourself, an expensive excercise, 144 times 25 cents, i should of used my camera instead of a phone. My advise to everyone is make sure software comes with your phone before making a purchase.
