Its very simple just follow these steps:-
you can enter the BIOS by hitting the DEL or F2 key when the computer first starts up and then selecting Load optimized defaults.
The reason why it shows is that any changes you have made to your BIOS may not be saved or probably the CMOS is not firmly fixed.Hope this solves your problem. Please rate me if my solution helped you.Have a good day.
I have the game too, played it on Win 95/98. You can do those for compatibility mode, or XP SP2/3. Under that is the Settings. You can check all those options there (that's how I did it) and just run it with administrator mode. There you have it, it's fixed, only problem I'm facing now is the blinking "windows circle" from the start bar. That is all.
go into your game video options and set screen display resolution.also make shore your pc can run the game .if no go post back and will look for a better fix .
Each version of Windows has a 'compatibility' mode to accommodate games written for earlier versions.
Open your Windows Help menu and just type in 'compatibility' as your search word.
7 has some major changes compared to earlier versions and it may not be possible to 'backdate' for your game but it costs nothing to look.
very easy,
go to TOOLS>Color Management>(down left)>Style>Optimized for professional output or Optimized for desktop printing. (In many cases this is the first).
...I hope you solve the problem

I had the same problem and googled a few forums with zero results.. so i found out what the problem was atleast for me... same error message when you try to save a GIF file "Unable to finish GIF Optimization process" What you need to do is this.
When you click on the Optimize tab you will get the same message again.. so click ok.. then at the very top second to the last icon is the Optimize Panel.. Click on it so the Optimize Panel comes up... then click on the Locate Palette tab.. and tic the "Preserve Local Palette" then you need to also tic the "Local Palette for all frames" once those two options are checked.. you will be able to save GIF files and the error goes away.. atleast for me this is what solved my problem..
