Please reply with your computer model and/or service tag number. To answer your question, YES! You may be able to install your audio driver if you know a few things such as the maker (vendor) of your device, or by using a software program like driver detective , available @ www.drivershq.com

I want vga&sound drivers for 3260

The eMachines 3260 is a UK model. I don't see driver download support at the UK site.

However the eMachines 3260 uses an Intel D845GVSR motherboard. Let's go to Intel Support, and see if the graphics, and audio drivers are available;

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=%22Intel+Desktop+Board+D845GVSR%22

On this page select the Operating System you are using. I am going to use Windows XP, as an example. (Home Edition or Pro Edition, doesn't matter)

Shows 7 drivers.
Among them are;
1) Intel Extreme Graphics Driver for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards

2) Audio: Realtek* AC97 Audio Driver

Download AND install these two drivers.

Post back in a Comment.

There's no sound or audio in my desktop that problem start when the time i need to reformat my desktop computer

Your computer problem is caused by a missing sound driver. You have to reinstall your computer drivers by it's driver installation cd. if you don't have it or your computer or soundcard driver installation disk is missing. then do this.

Try to find out your motherboard or soundcard manufacturer. You can download the driver that your motherboards or soundcard needs . But if it is too expensive there, try to use driver magician , after installing, driver magician will automatically detect your computers missing or outdated drivers. All you have to do is to Click the all detected driver that driver magician has detected from your motherboard, it will automatically search the internet and download the driver that you have selected. Press save, then install. There you have it. Have a nice day.

I want to restore my compiter to facory settings? Its a acer travelmate 2490, running on Windows XP

Quick tip:

1-Backup all the files you want to keep.

2-Insert the OS install disk that came with the computer

3-restart the computer and boot the disk

4-reinstall the OS

**note: if you do not have the install disk (or the CD key for that matter) that came with the computer, then download a copy and make a bootable CD or USB stick, or if you don't feel comfortable making a bootable disk, follow these steps:

1-Backup all the files that you would like to keep

2-Bring your computer to a repair center of Repair technician and have them do a complete reinstall

(create a list of all the programs you want on the computer and they should be able to install them for you after they have reset the computer)

My sister gave me a Compaq evo computer. When i turn it on it goes right to a screen that says Power-on password with a picture of a key. She doesn't know what the password was and it doesn't let...

Hi,
It seems to be BIOS password, if you don't remember or don't have the BIOS password you have to reset the password by opening your CPU cover and removing the CMOS coin battery, this will reset the BIOS password but dont forget to return back the battery and start using your PC.

My green audio port Jack on the back of my computer is broken and I don't know how to fix it.

Okay, well you cannot fix it. you need to know if you have more than one of those ports at the back of the computer. If you do then you have a sound card installed. remove it and use the one on the motherboard.
If you just have 1 such port at the back, then you will either have to get your motherboard repaired from a technician .. or you can purchase a new Sound card and install it in the computer and use that.

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
