Question about Insignia NS-L22Q-10A 22 in. HDTV-Ready TV

Open Question

I want to use Insignia NS-L22Q-10a TV as a computer moniter

I want to use my new Insignia NS-L22Q-10a as a computer monitor, however when I hook up the VGA cable from my desktop to the TV, it comes up as "Not Supported". I think it may have something to do with the resolution, but I can't manage to solve the problem myself. Help please!! Thanks!

Hi awawilk,

The remote that you list is the remote control for that model of set. When you have the original remote there is no code to enter into the remote. That remote is dedicated to that set.

If you are having trouble operating the TV with the remote do this:
1) Unplug the TV.
2) Remove the batteries from the remote.
3) Allow both to sit for fifteen minutes - this allows for a complete reset. Some say 15 seconds will do it but not always.
4) Plug the set back in.
5) Reinstall the batteries, paying close attention to the correct polarity. 6) Try the remote.

If the remote still will not operate the set the next step is to take the remote to your local repair shop. Almost all of us have an infrared detector that will show whether the remote is puting out any signal. Your local technician can take it from there.

Good luck!

Does my insignia ns-p501q-10a have a usb port?

Looking at the manual for the NS-P501-10Q from the product site, http://www.insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-P501Q-10A.html , the TV has a USB port labeled "Service" on the back above the other input ports and on the left side of the input/output area. Unfortunately, I don't think it will provide enough power for an Amazon Fire stick. It's for updating the firmware on the TV with a data file on a small flash drive.

I'd suggest using an appropriate USB wall charger to power the Fire stick.

I hope this helps.

What is the remote code for a hcdz universal remote to sync with insignia NS-L22Q-10A

0039,0030,0216,0218.
Try these codes. If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common codes to check devices with different brand TVs are given, in the order of the device's brand name list in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

these remotes don't have a part #. The only way really is to just get one of those universal remotes or call insignia give them the serial # for your tv and they might have a part # for it. Other wise you might be out of luck.

I need a power cord for Insignia NS-L42Q-10A tv? Are they available, and where?

Hi there, (as far as I know :P) all these tv/monitor cords are the same...you can even use the one from your home computer. If you have a homecomputer try that powercord, if that works. then thrifstores are full of these for around a dollar. Radioshack and the like will have them too, but it could run upto $20....You can also try computerparts stores...These cords are all over. I have an old crt monitor of wich the power cord fits into my 2008 32" lcd tv....

Good luck and if this has (or not) helped you, then please rate, thank you!

New tv connected to cable, suppose to have 52

Hello,
With the cable securely connected to your new TV, go into the Menu setup features and tell the set to AutoProgram all cable channels. It will then search for every signal. This will take a few minutes but give it some time to scan,
If it cannot find anything then you do not have a proper cable or antenna signal.
Cheers
