Boreal Mciroscope WW5790015 - Drivers

I have a WW5790015 scope connected to a Dell running XP Professional. The scope was shipped with Motic Plus 2.0 but the drivers were not included. Where can I obtain a driver for this scope so it will function with Motic Plus 2.0? or is there a drivere that is on the Motic disck that is compatible. By default Windows chose the Motic Camera V3 driver but I am not sure if it is correct or not.

Not sure what would be helpful there. I don't see drivers for Boreal scopes.

Doesn't matter if they're for boreal scopes or not, the software that inteprets the signal from the microscope is the one in conflict with the computer, not he microscope itself. Having proper drivers that work with your operating system is the important thing.

I am running windows 6 and vista. what do I need to download to have my National DC2-456 digiaal mcroscope up and running?.

The software and camera and supported by motic. Depending on the age of your camera, there may not be a driver compatible with window 7, but it should work on XP or Vista. You can try downloading it from motics site at: The National model should have come with motic images Plus.

I need a driver for my microscope

National optical microscope use a Motic camera and software. The drivers can be downloaded directly from motic's site: Some of the older camera's will not work with Windows 7. I believe that the DC2 is old enough to where there will not be a driver for Windows 7, however there maybe a chance with the camera firmware update. Follow this link to determine if yours will work:

We are receiving the following error message "No Video capture Device detected: We have reinstalled the softwar, ensured the microscope is connected as instructed. Appreciate id we can get some assistance....

With the computer off, turn the microscope camera on, then turn the computer on. If it still doesn't work, then it's likely that the drivers aren't suited to the OS, in which case you chould be contacting Motic to get the right drivers for your OS. (There are several known issues with Vista and Windows 7 and those microscopes)

I need software for my Boreal digital microscope

You won't find the software online.
You have two options.
One, and probably the best one, is to try to get it directly from boreal. Perhaps they'll even have it for you to download on the web from a secure portal or something.
The other, less likely option, is to try to scam it off ward's. Email customer_service at, claim you bought a boreal digital scope off them and see if you can get them to direct you to the download or a way to get the software. Since all digital boreal scopes work on the same digital camera, the software should be the same for most of the scopes.

Motic camera not found

There is no way to get the driver online.
You have two support options. First one is to contact motic directly to their digital support at at and ask for the driver from them... or...
... since the motic support guys aren't always the most helpful, you can contact VWR international and ask for the driver from them, but DO TELL THEM that you got the microscope off them.
