Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)
According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.
Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes. 1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate. 2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.
If the water won't drain out of your washing machine, either something is stuck in the drain hose or pump, or the pump is broken. Both fixes are simple if you're even just a little bit handy with tools. We're showing the repair on a Maytag washing machine. What is wrong with a washer that does not spin?
If your washer fills with water but doesn't agitate, the problem is likely to be a faulty lid switch, a broken belt, or a problem with the motor. (Note: Direct-drivewashing machines do not have belts.) To diagnose the problem, do the following: 1Check the washing machine's spin cycle.
If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing.
Try setting a lower spin speed. You may have a bulky load which the washer is having a difficult time getting up to the high speed spin you have selected. Also, did you know that on most LG washers, you can do just a spin without a rinse? Just turn the washer power on, then, without selecting a cycle, just push the spin speed selector to select the spin speed desired. This should set the cycle for about a 12 to 14 minutes pump and spin only. Then push start. You can spin that bulky load at the lowest spin, then try it again at the next faster spin if needed, without adding rinse water.
the machine will only drain after the rinses and give it three minutes to reach a pressure setting if this pressure setting is not met within the three minutes, the machine will stop, this sounds like the drain might be slightly blocked try there first, and then the drain pump and sump of the machine.
I started clothes washing machine with one load of clothes.
Wash and rinse process completed, as it came to spin,
Machine stop, only I heard was running motor. I opened
machine and found coupler is cracked (broken) and was
unable to rotate the gear.
I replaced new coupler and machine started to work normal.
sounds to me that something is stuck in your pump check the pump if you open the pump have lots of towels on hand the machine will not spin if it does not drain
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
Here are the symptoms: -
Wash cycle seems ok but can not be
sure.
When complete the rinse commences but am unaware
what happens next. This is what I have done
Started washing clothes and waited for cycle to
end(!) or problems start. Switched off and set program knob to
rinse.
At this point I select spin and after a while the
water starts to empty. When a sufficient amount has emptied I stop the spin (no
spinning has began), and set the knob to wash again. This now allows clean
water to rinse the clothes and when I think it has rinsed enough I set the knob
to off then spin again until all the water has emptied. When the drum is empty
the spin cycle should continue but does not. What happens is there is a
clunking sound and the activity light goes out again, when it comes back on the
machine tries to start the spin again and the sequence is repeated.
the 1st rinse light is normally set to "spray rinse", this means the machine will pump out the water, spin at medium speed then pulse cold water into the machine, this occurs for about 2 mins, then the machine will spin out, and advance for the final rinse which is a deep rinse.
Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.
