There are different generations of Delta cartridges and different models. How old is your valve and and does it simply turn counterclockwise to turn on and depend on how far you turn it to reach hot, or is there a separate temp control knob in the center of the handle, or does it lift up to turn on and twist to the left/right for hot/cold

Can you tell me how old the Delta is and/or how you turn it on (i,e, lift to turn on with twist left to right for temperature or.... twist counterclockwise to turn on going from cold to hot or twist counterclockwise for volume with a separate temprerature adjuster in the center of the handle)

Remove the shower control handle. If the cartridge is threaded there will be a nut on the top. Remove with a crescent wrench. If there is no nut then there will be a retaining clip and the cartridge will then pull straight out. Installation is the reverse procedure.

I have a Delta Tub/Spout Pull Down Diverter that has a pretty persistent drip. The HOT and COLD handles are turned off and seem to be as tight as they can be. After doing some research online I believe...

If your Delta RP17453 Pull-Down Diverter Tub Spout stops dripping after 5 minutes, your ok. If it never stops dripping, you need to replace delta faucet cartridge(s) behind the handle(s). This is were the water turns on and off and stops the water flow to the tub spout.

Delta faucets are some of the easiest to repair, and parts are usually available at any hardware store or home center. If you have a two handle faucet, replace both delta seats and springs and stems. If you have a single handle Delta faucet, replace the entire cartridge.

How do you remove the handle from a classic delta single handle tub faucet? I don't see a way to take off the handle itself to replace the cartridge.

On most delta models you pop the cap in the center of the handle. Then there is a screw to remove the handle. If it is old the bonnet can be hard to remove. Be careful, as you don't want to damate the complete faucet behind the wall.

Cannot get the old cartdridge out of the single handle delta faucet in bathroom It drips and i want to change the cartdridge

If you indeed have the original T13420 trim, the replacement cartridge in RP46047. This trim should have a solid lever handle which should have an access hole directly beneath the one piece handle itsself. It might have a decorative plug in it. If so remove it with your fingernail. Be sure to put a cloth over your drain so iff you accidentally lose control of it you wont lose it. Insert the appropriate sized hex wrench and loosen the handle setting screw until the handle can be removed (a multi hex wrench set usually works). Grab the decorative chrome tube behind the handle firmly and pull. You will now see the top of your catrtige and just behind it a large round locking collar (RP22734). Firmly grab it and turn counterclockwise untill it now comes off. You can now remove the cartridge. Often it is easier to do this at this point be reattaching the handle and pulling on it. There are ways to adapt to The t13420 trim which requires a different cartridge so besure to take your old cartridge with you to your parts house. See the following links for parts breakdown.

Shower diverter push handle is squirting water out

If you are handy, the best solution is to call delta and have them send you a new diverter. They will need the model of your faucet. The new diverter will come with instructions on the install process. As far as fixing it without the new diverter, I don't believe you will be able to.
