Question about Delta T13420 Chrome Classic Single Handle Monitor Pressure Balanced Tub and
If you indeed have the original T13420 trim, the replacement cartridge in RP46047. This trim should have a solid lever handle which should have an access hole directly beneath the one piece handle itsself. It might have a decorative plug in it. If so remove it with your fingernail. Be sure to put a cloth over your drain so iff you accidentally lose control of it you wont lose it. Insert the appropriate sized hex wrench and loosen the handle setting screw until the handle can be removed (a multi hex wrench set usually works). Grab the decorative chrome tube behind the handle firmly and pull. You will now see the top of your catrtige and just behind it a large round locking collar (RP22734). Firmly grab it and turn counterclockwise untill it now comes off. You can now remove the cartridge. Often it is easier to do this at this point be reattaching the handle and pulling on it. There are ways to adapt to The t13420 trim which requires a different cartridge so besure to take your old cartridge with you to your parts house. See the following links for parts breakdown.
