Question about Troy Garden

1 Answer

I have a Troy Bilt 675 lawn mower, won't start.

I have a Troy Bilt 675 lawn mower, only been used three or four times, but have mowed quite a bit of thick lawn on sloping terrain. Now I can't start the mower although it sputters and there is a slight ringing sound, almost like a bell when I pull the cord. Can you help?

Is the gas in the tank old? if so, try to drain it and put fresh gas in. Pull the spark plug to make sure it is not fouled and replace it or put in a new one. Check to make sure that you do not have the mixture or choke set to run too rich or too lean. If you are at an altitude above 2,500 feet you need to run more lean to compensate.

Own a Troy Bilt self-propelled model #12A-466-M011 for a year now. It worked great when first got it. Now it will not clear the grass underneath so cuts off every 15 feet and have to manually clear grass...

I had the same problem with my Troy-Bilt self propelled lawn mower. You have to use the grass catcher if your grass is high. Also, I mowed wet grass and it made my belt slip off the pulley and created a new problem, somowing wet grass is definitely not a good idea.

Troy-Bilt Briggs & Stratton 550 restarting

Troy, Unless you are using old fuel (it breaks down after 1 week) it sounds like you have a faulty spark plug. Replace this first, drain any old fuel and replace with fresh fuel (premium unleaded). A faulty plug will work one minute but then fail like you have described.
