Hi Beth,
Your focus screen network turn faulty. It can be solved by by passing the original focus screen network to a new assembled focus screen network.

I would suggest turning the monitor off and unplugging it. Then retry the settings.

Monitor will not turn on. I have pressed the power button still no power

Hello

This should be pretty straight forward to trouble shoot.

1) make sure the outlet you are using does indeed have power
2) try another power cable

If you are not getting any power at all (no lights or anything) when you try to turn this on, the monitor has most likely failed and needs to be serviced.

I replaced my computer monitor with an AOC e2243Fw 1920 x 1080 LCD, but the display is a little blurry. How do I get the display to be clearer? Do I need to replace the video card? I tried changing the...

Yes, if your video-card does not support the "native" resolution of the monitor, you'll get "fuzzy" pictures, until you replace the video-card.

Since 3/4 of 1920 is 1440, and 3/4 of 1080 is 810, does your video-card support 1440x810 ?

Since 2/3 of 1920 is 1280, and 2/3 of 1080 is 720, does your video-card support 1280x720 ?

You probably would not want 960x540. Correct?

My monitor got bumped in a move and all of the text on the display is now fuzzy....any suggestions?

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is malfunctioning that is why the display is now fuzzy, This is a sign that the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Hi,

please try doing a factory reset of the monitor.
please press the menu button on the monitor itself. you can easily locate the buttons below or on the right hand side of the screen on the monitor panel.
select the factory reset /recall options with the help of the arrow/+ - buttons.
this would reset your monitor color settings to default.

christoph972, This really sounds like a SMPS going into SHUTDOWN MODE after detecting a fault in the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp" electronic ballast circuit which is called an INVERTER CIRCUIT, or it has a problem all by itself. The big question is? ? ? WHAT is causing the fault? I need you to do the flashlight test to evaluate the condition of the LCD monitor's "switch-mode-power-supply". With a KNOWN-GOOD, fully booted pc that has the WIN-desktop showing, reconnect the S760 to the pc. then and only then push the "ON" button for the monitor and note what happens. After the screen goes black, shine a bright flashlight at different angles about 1" from the LCD screen. Get back to me with the results of test. Did you see or not see the WIN-DESKTOP? Also visit YOUTUBE and search for and view videos of typical lcd monitor disassembly and or lcd repair. FYI only!! The longer ones (8-12min) will be more informative. The symptom you have with this freebie monitor is classic! It could possibily be repaired for $12 or less. Get back to me here at fixya by posting another comment to the above stuff you already did. I"m louie12fix onfixya or lmistyrel @aol.com
