Question about Xerox WorkCentre XD130DF Laser Printer

Error 7 , the copier seems to be stuck

I am having problems making copies, the copier seems to be stuck and i've tried restarting it but that doesnt work error 7 still keeps reappearing so i cant do anytthing with the copier , pleasehelp

    i tried resetting the workcentre as you said, pressing auto , then clear etc. but i still cant make copies the display keeps saying E- 7 , error 7 , it seems as though the copier is still stuck, dont know what to do

Give this a try, Just 7 is not normal. Is there a letter appearing first?
But try this procedure.

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.

  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time

    Does your copier alternate E-7. E then 7 ????





    Problem:




    E7-01:The Main PWB sensed a GDI Memory PWB error.

    E7-04:The Main PWB senses a CCD white level error.

    E7-05:The Main PWB sensed a CCD black level error.

    E7-12:The Main PWB sensed a CCD shading level error.

    E7-15:The Main PWB sensed a Copy Lamp problem.

    E7-16:Not listed in EDOC.

    Note: The information in this Eureka article applies equally to the XD130, XD155, and XL2140 Copiers that are also designed and equipped to Duplex a Copy internally. The Hyperlinks within the article will transport the reader to information within the Pro 16 Edoc. One must have the Pro 16 Edoc loaded on the PWS for those hyperlinks to work properly.     -Clean the optics.
    b-Trouble shoot as though it were an E7-05 fault.
    c-Replace Main PWB. (Bulletin T4537) <-This Bulletin contains all the information that is known about the Main PWB's and which Harnesses and Laser Modules should be used. Please consult this Bulletin when selecting the Main PWB, Harnesses and Laser Modules should be ordered.
    d-Replace CCD. (PL 3.2 item 5)
    e-Replace Exposure Lamp Carriage. (PL 3.2 item 3

    I would start by opening the cover and seeing if the lamp was coming on when you turn on the machine.

    If it doesn't check the continuity of the lamp. And also on the lamp carriage, there is a thermal fuse, it will be about an inch and a half long with 2 screws in it. You want to check and see if that fuseable link has blown. I suspect one of those 2 things have happened.

    With the glass out, turn it over and see if the white strip on the bottom of the glass is clean. If dirty clean it well along with all the mirrors, the lamp, reflectors and the lens.

    Observe when powering the machine on, if the carriage itself is moving. Normally though, if it wasn't moving you would get an L1 code.

    Lastly is the CCD itself being bad. I would suspect that as a low possibility.

    And then you can take the back off the machine, and unplug and replug in the connectors to see if you have a bad connection.

    If you need a lamp or other part, please let me know. I will give you an excellent source for parts. Very honest and very helpful.

Try checking the paper path, there might be a broken or loose gear in there, a bent wire or stuck debris. If you done this and all seems ok but the error message keeps flashing, try to do a hard reset. That usually clears off error messages. If nothing happens, you might need to call a technician.

Error message to "Load Paper"


Push something thicker than a plain sheet of paper through. Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11" and let the printer try to grab it during a copy. After doing it's normal "grab the right side until it's skewed and stop", continue to try to push it through.

In your machine (model) you have to enter in SP mode to reset your error code.
Try this:
Yellow key.
1-0-7 on the key pad
Red key at least 3 sec.
Press "copy sp"
On the key pad press 5 810 and #.
Press execute
Exit all the way out.
Turn the machine off and on.

this is a scanner problem that can be associated with the scanner lock under the scanner bed. make sure the lock is in the 'unlocked' position. it is easy to move this when lifting the scanner bed to reload the ink blocks. if this does not solve the problem you may have to replace the scanner assembly. hope this helps.

Ligh that is under the glass to make a copy stuck. Would not go backward or forward. Error E 7.


it is the problem your copier laser unite or toner lebel yet drum life is short
instractin:
open cartridge, developer,drum unite clean that and wait afew manuites then assembling it and make a copy

Not printing


try to press and hold the copy and cancel button at the same time. It should take up a pice of paper and spit it out blank. then try to print again. if problems persist call the 1 800 235 6325 kodak support hotline

SC 553 is a fuser overheat error. If you have a fuser great, but you will still have to reset the code. Clear modes, 1, 0 ,7, press and hold clear/stop key. Menu will change, select copy sp. From there, select 5, (mode), scroll till you get to 5810. Select it, and press execute, then exit back to copy sp. Select 7 (data log) then scroll until you get to 7807. Select it, and press execute. Exit all of the way out, and recycle the power.

If it comes to ready, great. Try it. If it codes out again, you have a problem, possibly thermisters, (in the fuser), power supply getting stuck on, I/O board not regulating the power supply. Could be any of these things.

But start by resetting the code. Could be a a thermister got some toner stuck under it, and the other thermister detected a difference. It really could be that easy.
