Hi.The best idea if you are not to sure, is to get help. If you want to do it your self, be careful, batteries can be dangerous if shorted out.
Each battery has a positive ( red ) terminal, and a negative ( black ) terminal.
Change one battery at a time, make sure the scooter is turned off and /or unplug the battery leads.
The red wire will go to the red terminal ( positive ) onthe battery, the black wire to the black terminal.
Each battery should have 1 black wire and 1 red wire to it.
Remember, be careful.Neil.

How to troubleshoot my fuse box on a 2005 chevy impala

There are some diagrams in the Help section of You register for free and then need to toggle between the free and help sections. The diagrams have their identification but be careful when going from chart to chart as they sometimes jump from Model to Model.

A web search for the topic can yield what you want.

The troubleshooting can be done 2 ways. For power ON, with the battery hooked up, use a Voltmeter. One side of each fuse bloc is hot when the key is on; the fuse prevents the juice from reaching the 2nd terminal.

The battery being disconnected and wired to create a loop at the battery terminals will allow for continuity testing.

If you modify your inquiry to Fixya about what is not working, our Experts may be able to help better.

I'm trying to install a new battery in my 1984 Nissan Sentra. When I hook up the terminals, the wiring starts to smoke leading me to believe that the hook up is backwards. What is the correct hook up for...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly (Electrician since late 1960's)

Ground goes to the - pole. Hooking it up backwards can damage your alternator, wiring harnesses and fuse links. (Fuse link damage is a nightmare to sort out!) What you do by hooking up a battery backwards is turn your vehicle wiring harness into a giant heating element. (<-Very bad!) If you just changed the battery and then you hooked up the cables with the smoking cable result you certainly did connect the cables backwards. The ground cable... will connect to chassis and in most cases the engine body / transmission somewhere.
The positive cable will eventually connect to the starter. Follow the ground lead from the battery to the chassis or engine body connection. (metal to metal contact) Once your sure that is the ground cable; connect it to the - post of the battery AFTER connecting the positive post terminal.
If you have a newer audio system you will have lost your radio codes. We can not provide the codes for anti-theft reasons. Activation Codes must be from the car dealer or audio system retailer.

Golden buzzaround scooter - new around 2003? 3-wheel - need to know how to hook up the batteries - not sure we have them hooked up correctly.

If you go this link it will show you the connections for the battery pack wiring. Essentially there is a jumper between one of the positive terminals on one battery and one of the negative terminals of the other battery to give you 24 to 27 volts in series. The two remaining terminals are for the positive and negative output voltage and the charger connections (run in parallel). Please see the following:

It has a white wire, red wire, and bare wire but I on have 2 black wires and one bare wire for ground that comes out the wall.I don't know what hooks up with what

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

What is the model number so I can look up the installation procedures for THIS oven?

Usually for a 3 wire connection it will be connected as follows:
1 WALL black to the left terminal block terminal
The bare copper wire to the center terminal of the terminal block
2nd WALL black to the right terminal of the terminal block

See this picture link:

If you notice in the picture it shows a black red and white connection.

Red = black for your connetion 115VAC
White = bare wire neutral Ground
Black = 2nd black for your connection 115 VAC

When the power is connected properly and using the house wires as a reference if you are
reading it with a meter you would read EITHER black wire to the bare wire = 115 - 120VAC
Reading Black to Black = 230 - 240 VAC

If you still have questions feel free to respond here and I will gladly help you.
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Starter replacement on Volvo S90

There are usually 2 wires that connect to the starter. One is a large, thick wire, about the size of your little finger, It comes from the battery. The 2nd wire is a thinner wire, kind of like a soda straw. The large wire goes to the large terminal of the starter and the thinner wire goes on the smaller terminal. Be sure the ground terminal of the battery is disconnected before you try to hook up the starter.

Hope this helps Loringh PS please leave a ranking for me if appropriaye Thank you
