Check the wires for the fan where they connect to the contactor and capacitor to make sure they are tight. Also make sure the compressor is running. If it's not running too then there could be a problem with the contactor. Check the capacitor too.

Loud Squeaking from unit outside

The fan motor or fan shaft in the outside unit may need lubricating. Also check to see if some foreign object has gotten thru the grate cover on the top and the fan blades are hitting it.

The compressor doesn't start up unless I hit the high pressure reset button.

If the compressor is shutting off due to high pressure, the condenser coils may be dirty or blocked. Remove the top grill (may include fan and motor) and clean the coil fins from the inside out with a garden hose. Also cut any grass or shrubbery from around the unit. Remove any obstruction you see that may block air flow. Good air flow is crucial to keeping the high pressure down, especially in hot weather. I hope this helps!

Buzzing sound

If noise stops when you open the door, you may have a noisy fan (or could have ice build up, causing fan blade to hit ice and cause noise). I gather it is a frost-free model ie has a fan in the freezer compartment. If noise is caused by fan hitting ice build up, you may have a problem with the auto defrost system, as you should not get ice build up in a frost free.
Noise stops when you open door because fan turns off when door is opened.

My AC unit fan won't kick on. I hit the ''cool'' switch setting and the unit sounds like it is trying to run, then stops.

Possible bad capacitor. You may need a service tech unless you have knowledge of AC wireing. Russ

It seems as if your refrigerators fan may be hitting the ice that might have accumulated nearby or it has gone kaput n you'll be needing a replacement...these frost free fridges have a lot of fan problems...not to worry just replace it.

Ruud 12 seer heat pump not heating

It sounds like the unit is tripping off from high pressure. Check you filter and indoor coil. You may have low air flow inside that is causing the refrigerant pressure to be to high.
