Question about Televison & Video
What you will want to do is use a universal remote but without the automatic enter code for frequency method of programming instead look through the owners manual for the universal remote for a manual entry method it normally involves holding a couple buttons and than scrolling through the frequencies with the channel or volume button until the desired device turns on or off at which point you save it into the remote and voila hopefully your elderly mother will be back to watching her golden girls murder she wrote and wheel of fortune in no time
hope this helps
sorry for the grandma stereotype I was raised by mine so watched alot of elderly women tv :P
