File error When I download pictures from my Sony DSC-H2 to my computer (running Windows 7) I get about two or three times the folloing message. "the following error occurred while importing DSC 03270 JPC. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. I can hit try it again, but it never works.I have lost a lot of pictures. So my question is it the camera or is it the 1 GB memory card?

Hi,
It is picture file that stops file transfer function, delete that picture and continue or go to memory card through my computer > mass storage drive and delete that file or copy rest of files and past in computer some where like my documents etc.
That particular picture file DSC03270.jpg is incomplete/ corrupted and causing problem in files transfer operation. Either delete it or bypass it and transfer rest of files from camera.
After transferring files to computer, format memory card to avoid any problem in next time as option would be in camera menu.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC WX1 and cannot get the photos to download to my computer - an error message says daoopi.scr cannot be found? What can i do?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My Zoom H2 recorder is not recognized by my new computer with Windows 7. What can I do to solve this?

No solution, just a workaround. I have used the H2 with firmware 1.90 successfully with Windows 7, but lately the H2 is not recognized anymore. Built-in obsolescence maybe?
Anyway, I just take out the card and put it in a card reader. It is faster also. Card readers are cheap.

Importing Error

The problem is probably the same one i had. After successfully importing videos and pictures from my SD card, Windows 7 started giving me that error. I discovered that it was caused by the fact that I had imported some directly to an external USB hard drive (E:) and had set the default import directory to it (I can't remember if I had done this dileberately, or if W7 remembered it).
Fix: Just before you start the import, click the more options link at the bottom, and change your default folder to the local drive or to an attached external drive, something that exists at the time.
Worked like a charm after that!

SONY Cyber-shot 3.2 mega pixels

Try to right click on the image files while they are read on the memory card or on the camera hard-wired to your computer. Click on copy then click on your desktop of your computer to paste them. They may just be creating short-cuts rather than placing the file onto your computer.
