You need to check out caps in the power supply section first, then check the backlight inverter circuits for bad fuse, transistors. It can also be bad lamps. See example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

josexcruz, While you were busy replacing all the electrolytic filter capacitors did you think to closely examine all the other "LEADS" of the surface mount and through-hole components to make sure they ALL look bright and "mirror finished" ??? Try looking for solder joints that have thinner than hair circular thermal fractures around the solderd leads. May need inspection microscope (10x 15x) to see them. Also check the semiconductors package (body) for cracks or swelling due to thermal overstress. Let me know what you find!!! 12fixlouie

SOURCE: Hi I have a Fujitsu Siemens
christelledt, When black screen of death rears it's ugly face, the first thing to do is look at the "date of manufacture" on rear of the unit! If unit has lots of "ON" time (300 days/year x 8 hrs/day x years in service) it may need to be replaced or refurbished. 7 to 10 thousand hours is middle to old age in monitor life. If unit performs in same way when connected to different pc then you will trade-in for new or investigate a DIY refurbishment of the units internal ac to dc switch-mode-power-supply/CCFL inverter printed circuit board. unit may need $5 in capacitors replaced to fix it. Plenty of info and videos on that on the web and here at fixya. 12fixlouie

It sounds like it is not getting steady DC voltage, that will be the first place to check.
From the spec, it does not indicate if it has built-in power supply or using the AC adapter. http://www.subincho.com/hardware_review/pdf/fsc_p19-1.pdf
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:
