My Ipod Touch 4G 8Gb has a screen malfunction in which the screen turns incredibly bright and the bottom half displays a faint copy of the top half. The whole thing basically looks like an old film fliter...

It is possible that your display is faulty or the connector has become loose. To fix this, check whether your iPod is covered under warranty, if not, you'll have to pay, but regardless, you should take it to your local Apple store to get it fixed, immediately. If you have just purchased the iPod, return to the dealer and ask for a replacement.

I have a tz61v61 toshiba rear projection. The bottom half of the screeen is ghosting red, blue and green. it looks like 3d without the glasses. top half of screen is fine.

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

Blank screen laptop

Your SONY should respond to the following:

Look for the blue FN key, hold it down (use it like a shift key)
While holding it, look for a key, also printed in blue with a picture that is half sun/half moon. On my laptop is the F8 key. As you press the key watch the screen to see if gets lighter.

Good Luck!

Dell Inspiron 2200 monitor issue

Could be that the monitor is going out, but it sounds more like a connector has worked loose or corroded and isn't making a good contact. Check and clean the screen connection, screen to inverter, and screen to motherboard.

Mitsubishi VS 4552A

One of your convergence IC's has either cracked loose or burned out. The IC will have to be resoldered or replaced and then the convergence circuits realigned. If you do not have experience in repairing convergence circuits then have a qualified tech handle it for you. This is by far the most common failure in the projection sets and a good tech can have it fixed in about an hour and a half. I charge $150 for that but shops in your area will vary, so call around.
