Please check the sound settings from the control panel, and make sure that the sound icon on the taskbar isn't muted (red X sign). Make sure you connect the audio jack on the respective output plug, green in color. After this please let me know, with the result and the motherboard details, if you have not seen any affect. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

Please check whether you have inserted the cables correctly. The monitor sound cable has typically a green jack and plugs into the green rimmed jack at the back of the PC.

I installed a new graphics card on an HP Mediacenter m7750n and to make it fit I had to move the Hauppage TV card from the second AGP slot to the third. The new graphics card works fine but the system now...

Hi there, sorry to hear you are having problems. Please only try one thing at a time and make some notes as we do this. Put things back as they were and make sure the sound works ok. This is because the sound is normally controlled by the motherboard on an additional sounds card and not by Hauppage TV cards. Please look at the back of the PC and let me know how many sets of jack sockets for the sound there are and where these are located.
Thanks, Phil

Acer 1912 stays dark

By that description sounds it sounds like you need a new monitor. Otherwise I would say if it was just a black screen to reset your CMOS by removing the side panel of your computer, locate the round battery and near the battery is a 3 pin 1 jumper setup most likely jumper on 1,2 but can be 2,3. Which ever the case, unplug the power cord, remove the jump from 1,2 and move it to 2,3 or vice versa remove from 2,3 and move to 2,1 for 1 minute then remove and replace in default position. Plug the power back and and start it up. As I said, wouldn't go through the trouble because your monitor sounds broken.

My bike trainer is making a low vibrating sound when I pedal. It has never made this noise before. What might be wrong?

It sounds that something is causing a friction noise - did you move it to a new location and something got into its mechanism.

Sounds like a tube TV . If so I believe the tube is cracked not hard to do during moving Ive done it before. it can be replaced for around 125$ to 200$ look at how much your TV is worth and if it does not exceed the value of you unit . Then locate a repair shop in the yellow pages.

MF5700 making clicking sound after moving machine

There should be a microswitch at each end of the movement so that the machine knows where the end is. I would suspect that one of those switches is damaged. What you are hearing is the toothed belt slipping over the gears. This needs to be repaired before the belt snaps.
