Question about Craftsman 27cc 2Cycle Full Crank Curved Shaft Weedwacker Gas Trimmer ()

Open Question

My craftsman weed trimmer runs only when choked, but not unchoked

My craftsman weed trimmer starts and runs when choked but stalls when un choked and when calling for full gas. Is the fuel filter bad? I've taken it apart and found the filter in the gas tank. There are two fule lines coming out of the tank, one going to the priming bulb and one going to the carb?

SOURCE: Leaf blower will not run good. Only runs at full chike or half ch

If the trimmer is more than 3 to 4 years old, you may want to replace the carburetor parts, (new carb. kit). It also depend on the amount of use.
If it is newer than that, then you will need to disassemble the carb. and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Use a Den tek Brush,
(http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: craftsman 32cc blower stalls

Your carb is leaning out, causing the thing to die. Try adjusting the mixture screw (out) to richen the mixture. If there is a cap, you can pull it off to go richer. If that doesn't work, either the filter/pickup is plugged, the fuel line is kinked/smashed, or the carb needs to come apart to be cleaned.

Are you sure you have the right fuel mixture? Many of these require 2 Cycle oil to be added to the gas. If fuel is right, you may have a vacuum leak at the carb (or crack in base where it mounts to the engine). My weedwacker needed to be run on half choke for about 10 min before it got hot enough to run with choke off.

I have a Craftsman 32cc weed trimmer, can't give gas, it stalls

Usually the diaphram is wore out. It is a relatively inexpensive part. Does it run better with a little choke? If the answer is yes chances are it's the diaphram. Also sometimes the adjustment screws can move. There are two, one for low speed, and one for high. With the engine warmed up make small movements on the screws (some are marked low, and high) in, and out adjust til the engine runs at its optimum.
Hope this helps!
