Your bootable hardisk has been compromised...Restart your computer, see to it if your hardisk can still be detected by your CMOS/BIOS. I

If not... do this to check your hardisk...open the cpu, disconnect the power supply connector and the ide cable from your hardisk.. Now, return it back and make sure the connection is fixed properly, restart your computer and see if its detected. If its not.. then, your hardisk crashed, you will be needing another one to replace it.

If your hardisk is detected but system failed to boot, then, the system files on your hardisk was corrupted. You will be needing to reinstall a new operating system for your hardisk...

Hope this help you fix your problem.,,thanks

Please rate this solution if you find it helpful..thanks.

Windows was corrupted and it must be reinstalled. Use the recovery disk that came with the pc when you bought it.

My Toshiba wont start up no media (fail) no bootable device please restart system have tried YouTube but still no joy

Sounds like your hard disk drive has died.
Fit a new SSD (solid state drive)
Did you make a boot disk / thumb drive like Toshiba recommends?
After you fit the new SSD run the boot disk.
No boot disk you will an O.S. to load onto you computer.

To run the boot disk you have to get into setup, press F2 when the computer starts.
Look for the boot disk options, if you are using Thumb Drive switch the boot option to USB.
If you are using a CD switch the boot option to CD.
Close the setup and reboot...
The boot disk will set up the Operating System with the usual questions.

Hope this helps

Blank screen on aspire 4330 model jal90

This normaly happens due to a failing Hard disk. By this i mean the booting files, responsible for normal start up of your computer have been modified or deleted. Or it can also be a result of a dropped hard disk. For you to fix this, boot your computer using Error Rescue Disk(ERD). You can get it from the Microsoft website. Its an image, burn it to a cd and boot the computer with that cd. When your computer is booted up, go to start, then Administrative Tools, then Explorer. Make a back up by copying your data to a removable media.(external Hard drive or flash drive). Then go to Erase Disk/ Disk wipe. This will let you clean up your hard drive. Restart your computer with an Operating system disk in it and boot from it to install a new operating system. NOTE: Make sure you download ERD commander 2007 if you are using Xp, and ERD Commander 2010 if you are using Vista or Windows 7

Hard disk is not running frm last boot

hi,
- This means that your operating system may have collapsed and needs repair.
- To repair, enslave your hard drive to another machine by:
- Make sure the second computer has a good operating system.
- Remove the hard disk from your computer.
- Remove CD/DVD Rom from the second computer and fix your hard disk on
that drive.
- Start the computer.It will display that you're running on two drives.[Unix]
- Press F1 to save changes and continue.
- The machine notes one drive needs repair and starts the repair process.
- After it has completed and opened your system, turn it off and remove the
hard disk.
- Fix it on the first machine and start it.
- If this fails,you may need to format the hard disk.

GOOD LUCK!

When i start my computer it always say that, there is no bootable device-- insert boot disk?

This usually happens when there is a cd, floppy disk in the computer and the computer keeps trying to boot from them. If there is no Cd or Floppy disk in the computer then it is possible that the boot order was changed in the BIOS but it is most likely that the main Hard Drive that contains the operating system has failed and therefore cannot boot from it.

I HAVE A AOPEN COMPUTER IT IS A MILENIUM ONE IT NEEDS A BOOT DISK HOW COULD I GET ONE

Your computer tries to "boot" (restart itself) from several devices:
* 3.5-inch floppy-disk
* CD/DVD drive
* disk-drive
* USB memory-stick
* and others

When it cannot boot from one device, it tries the next.
So, either:
* you have changed the list of boot-devices to EXCLUDE the disk-drive;
* the list of boot-devices INCLUDES the disk-drive, but the attempt to "boot" from the disk-drive has failed.

Thus, the "insert boot disk" message says that all of the eligible devices were tried, and the "boot" from each of them has failed.

So, check that your disk-drive is INCLUDED in the list of boot-devices.

If it is, then your _REAL_ problem is that your disk-drive is either "logically" damaged, meaning that the "boot-records" on the disk have been overwritten, or "physically" damaged, meaning that *NO* information can be read from your disk-drive.

Take your computer to a qualified technician, to check the "health" of your disk-drive.

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

your system either does not detect a bootable disk, or the HDD has failed. Disconnect any floppy disk, USB storage devices connected to the computer and make sure the HDD with an OS installed is the primary boot device. If you get the same error, remove and reconnect the hard drive. If all else fails, try repairing or reinstalling Windows. If nothing works, you may need to get a new HDD.

On turning on my computer I get the HP screen with three options at the bottom Boot menu Startup menu System recovery When choosing the boot menu or startup menu the computer fails to bring up these...

The hard disk inside the computer had failed and must be replaced.
Since your system had an recovery partition and not a separate recovery disk you must contact HP and order a separate recovery disk. If you have a friend with the exact model of c then you can use its disk, but only if its the EXACT same model.
 This is a very big problem - and at least a basic knowledge of hardware is required to replace the failed hard disk. And some software experience is also needed to reinstall.

Dell b130 internal system restoration failed

Incase you don't have any thing important on the computer try a factory restore. This will wipe out everthing and make the cmputer like new. To start it power off the laptop. Power it on and hold down ctrl and tap f11 severl times at the Dell logo screen. Try this q couple of times as it may not work the first time. If this does nothing you'll need the os cd (xp cd) tO repair or reinstall windows.
