Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower with Rear Bag

RE POST "in replacing push button switch INDAK 681064-01N I forgot to record the wiring sequence" This is kind of a weird one, but on the switch directly aboce the connector prongs, there is a brass rivet looking thing that holds them on, and the actual wire connectors have a slight rounded area on one side where the other is just flat, where when you push the wire all the way on to "snap" it flush with the connector it doesn't touch but if you flip it around the "bump" side actually touches these brass things... I blew one replacement swiotch by hooking it up wrong and now that I know where they go, I wanted to make absolutely sure that these brass connector/rivet things aren't important and whether I should make sure they touch the wire connector or not when I install it.... THANKS?!??!

SOURCE: in replacing push button switch

If you look at the switch with the pushbutton on the top, the white wire from the cord to the motor attaches to the upper left terminal, the red wire from the cord to the motor attaches to the lower left terminal (just below where the white wire attaches), the black wire from the cord to the motor attaches to the upper right terminal and the short black wire going to one of the two pins that plug into the extension cord attaches to the lower right terminal (just below the where the black wire to the motor cord attaches).

Want to replace 1998 ignition with aftermarket one....need to know color codes of each of six wires and where to place them on new switch.....thanks

I'm a Locksmith.. what kind of car ?? Mist us cars you just change the ignition in the housing... Forgien cars we pick them to the account and push a button and the cylinder is removed and a new one with keys pops right in.
But if you need to replace tge whole housing and it didn't come with a plug on the wires you may have to remove the old one and remove the wires from the plug and wright down what sequence they came out and put them back the same way

Error message "push the reset switch"

Pull the battery out to reset it. Get a DV tape cleaner to clean out the tape deck.

That should solve both.

Disc tray cannot be opened

Hi, The unit is in initialization/reset mode immediately after powerup. It does a self diagnostic sequence. When a fault is detected, it actually locks up till the fault is removed/repaired. A couple of things you can do: 1. Unplug the unit from the mains for a couple of hours; 2. Check your manual if there is a hard/full reset sequence/button and perform it; 3. Remove the topcover and inspect the loading tray. There is a possibility that a CD is stuck, lodged or skewed inside; 4. There is also a possibility that the loading mechanism is stuck, defective belt/gear; 5. if the unit is still under warranty, require service or replacement; or 6. if no longer under warranty, seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

Cub cadet starter engages as soon as you turn switch

It is the wrong key switch or the switch has gone bad. Inside the switch there is two round disk facing ech other, on them disk there is flat brass buttons, as you turn the key it touches them in to each other in a set order. so in the start position it connects the battery wire to the solenoid wire to spin the engine. It also ungrounds the wire to the coil Of course it goes through a bunch of safety switches getting there. I think there must be 50 to 100 different indak switches that look identical but the wires are in different order. So if there was two on the bench I would say you picked up the wrong one.

Is the button NC or NO? I have it currently wired this way but still it does not work and I'm using a switch not a button. Any suggestion?

The switch is OFF or NO normally open
See wiring diagram at following link
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Dayton-Off-Delay-Timer.html

The way the timer works is this::
You click switch ON
When you turn switch OFF, the Dayton begins the timing sequence
The Dayton turns on the circuit going to load for 1/2 second => 5 minutes depending on model of Dayton timer

Grainger sells 120V push buttons if you don't want to turn the switch on-and-off each time

I need to replace the blower motor switch -'96 Nissan pu

Hey, I'd do an ohms test between voltage terminal suspect and l--m--h. If B and C terminals both have continuity to the speed terminals, I don't think it makes any difference which one is voltage.
I did look at 3 speed blower motor switch, different part number. C terminal was voltage feed to switch, B terminal was for lamp, just tells you it is turned on.
Type in your part number in search box, If you find it on a web site, maybe you can email manufacturer? The manufacturer can tell you which terminal does what?
