Question about Panasonic PT-53TW53 53" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Panasonic TV (Clicks and turns off, then red light flashes 2x until unplugged)

I noticed you have a solution for the red light flashing 3x (convergence issue) but would you be familiar with the light flashing 2x continuously until unplugged?? Is this a power source issue??

When power is turned on the tv automatically shuts itself down and the red power light will flash 2x until unplugged.

A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you're going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp....or for a few more, upgrade to a TV from this century that doesn't require lamp changes :)

My panasonic lifi tv starts flashing green then the red light flashes red all the time now.

If the light is flashing 2x and pausing and repeating you probably need a new lamp.Panasonic has extended the warranty on the labor for the lam p to 3 years due to difficult replacement.Call Panasonic customer service and they will refer you to the nearest service center. The lamp itself is covered for 5 years.

Please count red light flashes and let me know. There would be long pause between flashes so count pause to pause. It is an error code of TV problem.

Panasonic PT-53TWD63, TV will not turn on, Red power light blinks

It is most deffinately a convergence chip issue. The die for no reason. They can be bought online for around $10 dollars and anyone with experience with soldering can replace them pretty easily. I have done it.
