Question about Motorola Mobility MOTOROKR Z6 Cell Phone

2 Answers

I have a Motorola Rokr Z6. When I power my phone up and the Enter Unlock Code screen appears with a flashing cursor, I'm unable to enter my code. Usually when I power the phone up the cursor is solid. My phone is still receiving text messages and calls but I'm unable to retrieve the text messages or answer the phone because it's locked. I've tried turning the phone off and removing the battery. My phone hasn?t been dropped and there is no water damage. Is there anything that I can do?

I know my unlock code and I powered the phone off and removed the battery for several hours and this did not work. The problem is that I'm unable to enter a code at all. The phone cursor is flashing but it will not accept any input. Basically the cursor is non responsive. I am able to turn the phone on and off but I can't get pass the unlock code screen.

Hello there,
Most likely, someone setup a lock code for your phone. I am guessing this would be the security or the phone lock.
Before going any further, could you please try entering this code:
000000
or
1234
I am unsure if its the SIM lock or the phone lock you got there now.
Let me know about the results.

I am unable to enter a code of any kind. When I power my phone up, the unlock code cursor is flashing but it will not accept any input. What I'm trying to get pass is the phone code not the SIM code. While I was out of town I powered my phone off, since powering it back up, I have been unable to enter the phone code. The cursor is flashing and is non responsive.

Hello,

there are two two way which you can bring your phone back to live there are follow

1). can you still remember your phone unlock code?
if the answer to this question is YES
then you will have to follow this instruction as guild line , put off your phone and remove the battery allow the phone to relax for about one hour 15 minute then fix up the battery back to it position switch it on and then punch in your code and click on ok button and always be very careful with your security code in any form.

solution no.
2). if then answer to the above question is NO then the way out to brig it back to live that you will have to unlock it with motorola soft ware with USB wire cord with your computer system
but if can't do this you will have to take it to a very good phone work shop for unlock please NOT flash.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

    hello,

remember that you are giving two way solution ,but in this case you will
have to remove the casing of your phone and then couple it back
it means that the case of the phone have jump site on the panel of the phone
but if this did not solve the problem then you will have to apply the second solution
    giving to you .

    thank you and good luck.

When you say remove the casing of my phone do you mean just removing the battery cover or do I need to do something else like take the entire back panel off? Also am I able to access the Motorola software you mentioned from the internet?

Forgot my unlock code on my Motorola rokr z6

When you receive your email with your unique Motorola unlocking codes, you may see there's actually more than one code as some models require more than one code to unlock them fully. However, for simplicity, we do aim to send you a single unlock code.

Example:
359810001112345 F33RHE1234 12345678 85901234 5F8D1234

The unlocking code is 3rd part in this example: 12345678.
(We may also return your IMEI number, simply ignore this, it will always be the first)

Motorola Models
1. Switch On your phone with a SIM Card not from the original network. (IE Not the network it's locked to)
2. The phone should now show the message 'Enter Special Code' or 'Enter subsidy code'
3. You can now enter the Unlocking Code provided to unlock the phone.

WARNING : If One of these messages is displayed:
- 'Contact Service Provider'
- 'Tamper Alert'
- 'Wait before enter special Code'
- 'Contact Service'

It's because too many incorrect codes have been entered. To reset this, you will need to leave the phone on displaying this error message, until it changes to 'Enter Code Special' or 'Enter subsidy code'. This can take up to 72 hours.

Note: If your phone is on a 'Three' network, you will need to enter * * 0 5 7 * to open another window to enter your code.
