Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

clicking on the link you sent me just takes me to my friends stupid home Facebook page. It's as if I'm him now, which I really do not want to be. I also went into Facebook help to reset my password, and the same thing happened when I clicked on their recomended link. A) I'm going to kill my friend; B) this is ridiculous; C) please tell me how to solve what really shouldn't be anything close to this big of a pain in the ***.

    thanks.

    Many thanks for the feedback.

It seems that your friend has not logged out of his Facebook account on your computer and so whenever you try to access Facebook, your friend's profile comes up.

So to log out of your friend's account, on the Facebook page, click on the 'Account' tab at the top-right corner of the page and then select 'Logout' from the drop-down menu.

Then, login to your account using your email address and password. (If you have forgotten the password, reset the password using the link in the earlier post)

Hope this helps. Thanks once again.

I have two facebook accounts. Want to delete the one without a photo

You can deactivate your account temporarily and choose to come back whenever you want.
To deactivate your account:
  1. Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click General in the left column
  4. Choose Manage your account then follow the steps to confirm
If you deactivate your account your profile won't be visible to other people on Facebook and people won't be able to search for you. Some information, such as messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to others.
If you'd like to come back to Facebook after you've deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account at anytime by logging in with your email and password. Keep in mind, if you use your Facebook account to log into Facebook or somewhere else, your account will be reactivated. This means your Facebook profile, including things like your friends, photos and posts, will be completely restored. Remember that you'll need to have access to the email address you use to log in to reactivate your account.
To permanently delete your account: Permanently deleting your account means you won't ever be able to reactivate or retrieve any of the content or information you've added. If you'd like to permanently delete your account with no option for recovery, please contact us.

Using friends computer want to get to my fb

If I am understanding the question correctly you would like to access Facebook.com from your friends computer?

You can access Facebook from any computer by:

Navigating to http://facebook.com
If someone else's profile show up, e.g., your friend's profile, meaning it says that your friend is logged in log your friend out, or before you do that post a funny status about your friend and then log him or her out of Facebook.
Once your friend's profile is logged out you can then successfully log into Facebook with your account using your username and password.
REMEMBER TO LOG YOUR PROFILE OFF when you are done using your friend's computer otherwise he or she may retaliate by posting a funny status post on your Facebook account.

Hope that helps

I can't find my account from the "Find Your Account" page. If you're having trouble logging into your account from the Find Your Account page, try these tips:
  • Ask one of your Facebook friends to look at the About section of your profile and send you the email address listed in the Contact Information section.
  • Try entering every email address or mobile number you've owned (one at a time). You may have added an email address or mobile number to your account and forgotten about it.
  • Enter your username. Your username is your personalized Facebook URL:851586_154132461443885_616078931_n.png
If you don't know your username, ask a friend to go to your profile and send you the username in the URL.
  • Try entering variations of your name, just in case you signed up using a nickname.
  • If you're asked to enter a friend's name, try a variety of friends if the first friend you try doesn't locate an account. Remember to enter your friend's full name, not just their first name.

I use Chorme, but with IE I have same problem. I cant chat in facebook, none of my friends appear online, and a friend of mine came here and logged himself on is facebook and everything works!!! I tried in...

It seems that Facebook is having a problem with your profile. If you haven't changed any of your settings then that shouldn't be the problem and plus I doubt that. I believe that your profile may be just having technical problems. Contact Facebook (look for "Help" on either the home page usually on the way bottom or under a side bar) or wait it out. Sometimes patience fixes everything. But I highly recommend just contacting Facebook if everything else fails...they should help. If not...keep waiting.
Hope that helps ^_^

I am using another persons computer and i can not log in to my own facebook account,

If your friend uses stored names and passwords, Facebook is probably responding to those. If it logs in to your friend's page, log out and then log in again with your own info.

I WANT TO CLOSE MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT

If you're worried about who can see you and what they can see, remember that you can edit your privacy settings as you see fit from the Privacy Settings page.

To deactivate your account, navigate to the "Settings" tab on the Account Settings page. Deactivation will remove your profile and content associated with your account from Facebook. In addition, users will not be able to search for you or view any of your information.

If you’d like to come back to Facebook anytime after you’ve deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account by logging in with your email and password. Your profile will be restored in its entirety (friends, photos, interests, etc.). Remember that you will need to have access to the login email address on the account in order to reactivate it.

I cannot view my home page!

I think your problem can get fixed if you just look for the facebook logo. After, you find it,press it and it'll likely take you to the home page where you see your friends status' and other posts. If this doesn't work, then you should check your account and make your default your friends status' and posts instead of your profile which is your default right now.Hopw this hekoed your problem!

Im at a friends computer..and when i sign on to facebook.com her info pops up..how can i log into my fb account on her computer

You have to log out of her facebook page (on the facebook page select log out) and then log back in using your user name and password.

When you are done doing what you want to do on facebook you will need to log off before your friend can log back into her account. You might want to check with your friend and make sure that she remembers her log in info before you log her out.
