Firmware Problem Appears on boot.

For some reason when I turn on the device it says firmware problem, and it is not being recognized by any computer. What could be the problem...I think it's the Motherboard, but I really don't want it to be.

Firmware Downgrade/Upgrade (2.9 > 2.8 > 2.9)
(This will erase all your data inside the device)

Software Downgrade/Upgrade

- Connect your Garmin Forerunner 305 to the computer
- Press the UP arrow button and hold while doing all the other steps below
- Press MODE + RESET for a moment (the computer will recognize the device)
- Dowload the Firmware from Garmin's website.
- Downgrade Firmware from 2.90 to 2.80. (You are still holding on that UP arrow button!)
- When the update is finished the Forerunner 305 should power on running the Firmware 2.80.
- Let go of the UP arrow button, disconnect the device from USB, connect it again and the computer should recognize it normally
- Update the Firmware to the current version.

Executing OTP version 3.04

Hook a VGA monitor, keyboard and mouse up to it. Then turn it on to see if it's booting into Windows or even into the BIOS. If it's booting into Windows, then download your autoloader firmware from Rimage.com (click the support link, then your model, download the autoloader firmware) -- then unzip it somewhere on your Rimage and use Gemini Utilities to update the firmware in the autoloader. Then restart the computer and see if you still see the same message.

The printer being recognized is tied very closely to the autoloader firmware working. Also, it helps to make sure the printer's switch is set to the position marked for Transport.

Hi,

Please go here and download the live update from Samsung. This software is designed to automatically update you to the latest firmware via the internet. To get this service, customers have to install the Firmware LiveUpdate program on their computers.

Please download the live update full version if you have not used this software before. See link.

Simply follow the instructions as given and your software will be updated to the latest version required to run your CD/DVD writer with your computer.

Hope this helps. If so please do leave a vote for the solution. Thanks.

Computer doesn't recognize Sansa; Sansa not boot up

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the SanDisk website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

ALSO:

Download the driver to your compter while you are at the SanDisk website

Freezes on boot up at the SanDisk logo

From the sansa site:
STEP 1 – Reset the device
  1. Slide the Power switch up and hold it for approximately 20 seconds.
  2. Release the Power switch once the device is powered down.
  3. Turn the device back on.
STEP 2 – Download and Install the Sansa Firmware Updater
If this article did not resolve your issue, please contact us at [email protected].

Other possible solution.
Plug the unit in to the computer.
Even if it won't boot it might still recognize it as an external storage device.
If so, open My Computer and right click on the player. Select format from the menu that appears.
Select the FAT file system from the options that appear.
W A R N I N G!!!! This WILL erase all data on the device, please make sure you have a backup copy of your music and or other files BEFORE proceeding with this fix!! /W A R N I N G!!!!
Now, once you have the unit formatted, download the firmware for it from the sansa website at www.sansa.com.

Boot Error, Shutting Down

Go download the firmware from the memorex site. Hole the power and left buttons as you plug it into your computer. It'll be detected as a recoveryclass device, the firmware program should be able to reflash the device and fix it. If not, hold the power and left the entire time that the firmware detector scans, then let it flash the device (including formatting the data area) and you should be good to go.
