Rainbow E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum

Loud rainbow and water leaking (by 2 users)

posted by jcbdot on Apr 08, 2008

My raibow Eseries vacuum was running very loud and had a burning smell. I took it to the repair shop and they said it needed a new motor. My husband purchased and replaced the motor and the circular filter inside. It is still running loud now and water is coming out of the back and leaking a little from where the canister meets the foam seal inside. My separator piece has two thin vent pieces broken off and missing. Could this be the reason for the water leaking and for the loud sound? Or could it be something else?

If pieces are missing or broken I would try and replace the piece. You can usually get these items cheap on Ebay.
