My Canon Pixma MP530 I displaying a "check ink v150" on the LCD and the alarm light is on constantly. I have opened the scanning cover and the 5pgbk ink tank light is completely off. I have removed and inspected the tank and when reinstalled the tank light comes back on. when the scanning cover is closed the Alam light is on again and the "check ink u150" is again displayed. It will not respond to any keys except on/off and the "copy liht is always on. I have had the machine about 6 months and have had no other problems.

Same problem, it seems that if you the original tanks, the microchip will block the tank after a number of prints. I guess there is no other solution than to buy new ones, without the limitation of the original tanks. This sucks :(
