Question about GE WSXH208A Front Load Washer

Open Question

I have a GE front load washer model number WBVH5200J1WW and when I start a cycle the washer turns the drum to distribute the load and then you hear a clicking sound (like an old fashion turn signal) and then the pump starts running. The pump runs for about 2-3 minutes and then the washer goes to pause mode. I have cleaned the filter; check the hose for clogs and even pourded 2 gallons of water into the basket while the washer was off and the sensor will detect the water level and pump the water out. Any suggestions on what this could be?

SOURCE: My GE front loading washer Model WCVH6260 does not

This has happened to us also. Our machine is 27 months old. I just had a non-GE repairman out and he showed me the mutilated belt. I was wrapped around the pulley. He said that the pulley had to be out of wack in order for this to happen because the belt looked in great condition (besides being in 3 pieces). Then the metal wheel (don't know the official name) is now warped and had gouged 3 grooves into the cheap plastic outer tub. So badly that it went thru to where the water is. So NOW, I have a big piece of scrap metal in my basement. I need a new outer tub, pulley, belt and at least 2 hours of labor. So a bill of 4-500$. I think GE can take this hunk of metal! But of course, GE has to send out their service man to inspect it. So I have to pay another service fee. They need to scrap this model and possibly others. What a waste of a whole lot of money. NEVER again.

SOURCE: I have a GE Front

If the water is not filling the machine, then the water valves are the main culprit, although there may be other reasons. I am supplying a link to a web page that covers all these codes and reasons. It has pictures that can help with the parts recognition and diagrams that point out the parts involved. Should be an easy fix if it is only the water valve. Thanks and good luck on this. If you need any furthur advice or clarifications please let me know.

Are the clothes evenly distributed inside the drum and the washer not overloaded? The drum is not self balancing, you must take care when loading it to even the weight distribution

GE Washer stuck in wash cycle and not draining.

humming is usually the result of bad motor windings , are u saying it washes for 20 minutes or just stays on that cycle without doing any washing? a non moving drum can be a bad motor coupler or belt if belt driven.

In the spin cycle at high rpm's the drum is making a load noise. Is it he drum belt? If so how can I replace it? I can't find a cutsheet on the parts list.

Hi there
Before you startreplacing partsin the machine, observe weather the washing is evenly distributed in the drum when it is working.
If the washing is not evenly distributed, there is a lot of noise and the drum does not go its rounds evenly.
good luck

Drum knock when spin cycle

Hello.
Noises are common when using a two-in-one washer and dryer, as clicking or whirring is part of the cleaning process during the transition to the next cleaning process. The GE Spacesaver washer and dryer combo uses a top-loading washer stacked beneath the front-loading dryer, and uses an agitator that makes noises throughout the spin cycle. Although whirring or clicking is normal, other noises or malfunction indicates a problem with the washer that requires minor troubleshooting. Professional repair is necessary if the washer continues to experience problems during the spin cycle, as there may be a problem with the washer's agitator.
1 Open the washer's door and check the balance of the load's clothes. Clothes that are unevenly distributed around the agitator cause excessive shaking and result in an imbalance during the spin cycle. Reduce the load's size by removing clothing if the washer's drum is overloaded.
2 Push "Start/Pause" to pause the spin cycle and turn the washer's cycle knob to the "Off" position. Turn the knob to "Spin Only" and press "Start/Pause" to reset the cycle.
3 Turn the wrench counterclockwise or clockwise around the unit's legs to adjust the appliance's balance. The legs are adjustable with the help of a wrench to ensure the unit does not shake while in use. An unleveled unit shakes as it spins, and causes excessive squealing or rattling as it attempts to dry the clothes.
4 Touch "Start/Pause" on the front of the washer's control panel and unplug the washer/dryer unit's power cord from the electric oultlet. Wait two minutes and plug the power cord back into the electric outlet. Push "Start/Pause" to resume the spin cycle.
Thanks.

GE front load washer, wbvh5200j1ww. no power.

the door can be manually unlocked by removing the bottom front panel, reach up and there is a pull tab on the lock mechanism. it is a crime that they do not post this online or in the manual, and let folks ruin their clothes.

power problem was a part called the "FILTER" it is where there power cord plugs into, something along the lines of part number 201. cost is $85 plus tax. service man has not seen one of these ever go before.
