Hey There,I was asked kindly to check with you just for the System Control cct. diagram. He is trying to trace where the pin-out goes. The new Eeprom that we put in is running but nothing appears to be coming out. Please if you can help I sincerely would appreciate that. This on a RCA Model P60756BA Chssis # PTK178LC

    Kind Regards,
    Edward

  • egatzky Jun 07, 2010

It has been tough, but I hope to find what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,
    Edward

  • egatzky Jun 15, 2010

I tried this site and Mr. Kent stated he did not have the info. I needed for my Model...So it is frustrating to say the least. Thschematics have to be out there somewhere...There were 1000's of these sold in the day!!

  • egatzky Jun 15, 2010

I don't have the specifics for what you ask...as I mentioned before I am helping out a friend that owns a Repair shop here to find the Specs. on the control system for my unit. I am a Nutritionist and Professional Fitness Trainer. Not an Electronics specialist. That is why I have turned to you for help. There has to be data out there...it is just a matter of finding it.

    Regards,

    Edward

  • egatzky Jun 16, 2010

I will share this info. with Henry and get back to you thanks so much for the extra effort....I really do want to get this unit running again.

    Kind Regards,

    Edward

  • egatzky Jun 23, 2010

Thanks for all your help...My Technician friend insists he needs the complete service manual for this unit. I have to this point have not had any success finding one. So I will continue to try and source one. I do appreciate that you have offered so much advice, that unfortunately has not helped. My Best wishes to you!!

    Sincerely Edward

Thanks for the lead, but that is why I am paying for the fixya service...I don't want to keep going down a pathway that continues to pick my pocket..With all due respect i was looking to obtain the schematics through you ....

i don't have it either , but if you can possibly pinpoint what part in the schematics you are trying to

find, then maybe we can sort it out.

    post what part number also.

    Post the regulator part number

Post the Horizontal out Part Number

Post the Regulator IC part Number

Post the Jungle IC Part Number

Maybe i can post likewise in pieces.

Or try to explain in more details, the problem you are having with your unit.

you may need at least 30 watts of Soldering Iron and a

    good
quality Soldering Lead to solder the cold solder joints on the Circuits Board.

    How to
    solder boards properly

    How
    to test for Continuity

    How to use a multimeter

    Additional tip:

you need to check circuits such as Horizontal Deflection

    have a check on the

    Flyback,

    Check the

    Horizontal Output Transistor
    . Either or both

Could be affecting, Supply out your Power Supply

Have the unit unplugged when doing a resistance check on the Board.

Bleed or have the main capacitor ( power supply ) with a 4.7K 5W

    Resistor

    .

I am not the Tech...I am just trying to find the info. for my Friend that is . I am trying to make heads or Tails of the link you sent me. If you could source the Chassis Schematics for that other RCA could you not source the same for my unit? I am a Nutrition Wiz and Fitness Wiz...Not electronics. If you could send me a link to obtain the info. I am seeking I would be very grateful.....Thanks for all your help thus far.

then give me a part number on the circuit itself, sample are on my earlier post.

    a ) regulator part number

b ) horizontal out part number

c ) Jungle IC part number

Even technicians have a hard time finding one.

Most have with a fee, and some are not available or classified.

Most often , Technicians have to do it the hard way, we call it " Mano-mano ".

Schematics on earlier Models have similarities, only the designation or reference numbers ( not the

actual part number ) are different on succeeding models .

Schematics are just a reference , Tools , equipment , Knowledge and the know how are needed,

depends on the success of your work.

Actual parts are different and as often there are no more available parts for replacement. due to age.

The links I have given you is enough to have the unit working.( Unless you cannot comprehend what it

is all about. ) Servicing is not literally speaking it is on the mind of the techician.

Must learn to " Divide and Conquer ".

Divide meaning look for a certain part then conquer it, Start with the power supply,

give me something to work on, not a guess!.

Feel free to ask more clarification..

here are additional info for you:

  • egatzky Jun 01, 2010

Good response, It has to do with the power supply...System Control. The Unit is not pwering up and we replaced the Eeprom and H V Splitter.....Hoping all would be good, but after running for a couple of days the unit powered down. So there it is bro..Any and all help is appreciated. I will ask Henry for some part numbers that you seek......

Thanks for your help this is cool,

    Edward

  • Rommel Cana
    Rommel Cana Jun 02, 2010

Since you had it working then , most probably you may need to start all over again.

    Measure the

    Voltage for horizontal transistor

    and the

    Flyback

Use the Tuner Metal chassis or the power supply secondary ground as your reference ground ,

Meaning negative of the Multimeter ( Analog Multimeter is OK ).

For whatever power supply ( many variations ) these horizontal deflection circuits

will work for as low as 95 V, You may need a Variac to have the Main AC line supply reduced.

And measure the Usys B+ of it.

Only on some you, may have a smaller raster compared to the Normal operating supply voltage.

But that is for troubleshooting purposes only.

here are the output voltages of the power supply:

Usys B+ should not exceed more than 130V.

  • egatzky Jun 02, 2010

I'll get back to you bro...I'll pass the info. onto Henry. Thanks.

    Edward

  • Rommel Cana
    Rommel Cana Jun 02, 2010

All of it, including the links

  • Rommel Cana
    Rommel Cana Jun 02, 2010

Since you have replaced the High Voltage Splitter might as well check voltages for the G2,

Check if the " Heater " Supply is available

As well as the +200V line that goes to the Video Out Circuits ( Cathode of each CRT )

Of which you will never have, unless the flyback oscillates.

  • egatzky Jun 03, 2010

Hi There, I spoke to Henry and he indicated that it is the System Control cct. Diagram that he needs.....He is trying to trace where the pin-out goes to. The Eeprom is running and nothing is coming out as he stated. Where does the signal come out? I sincerely hope you can help with this.

    Kind Regards,

  • Rommel Cana
    Rommel Cana Jun 08, 2010

give me some of the part number that i need ,

although you may have the right model , on some, actual parts are not the same

service manual is just a reference.

  • Rommel Cana
    Rommel Cana Jun 08, 2010

There are also precautions on the service manual, that you need to have a Chipper Check before

    replacing any component

What you may be looking may not be available , if you insist on the schematics, you need the full

service manual plus the manual and guides for the Chipper Checker including the software and

    hardware to finish you project.

no the board that has the FL231 on is the ITC222 deflection board. The other board is above the chassis in a seperate frame that runs across the set the convergence power supply is the board on the left above the board where the fL231 is. Yes the ITC222 and ITC222A are the same chassis. As for the service manual that site should have the service manual under the thomson category as the ITC 222 chassis is actually a thomson chassis made for RCA.
