Question about Sennheiser HD 202 Consumer Headphones

1 Answer

Right side started cutting out and now is out completely -- haven't done anything differently. Checked the wire from end to end, nothing wrong. Just got them about a year ago. I use these for work as a medical transcriptionist, so hearing out of just one side won't cut it...

It's a common problem for the headphones: internal cut of the wire, usually near the end, either at the headphones' end, or at the 3.5mm or 6.3mm jack end. Some headphones have detachable cable (can be easily disconected from headphones side) so it's easy to replace it. In your case (HD202) I think it's not detachable, so you have to get them at a technician or at the service center in order to replace the cable or cut and recconnect it a little bit after the cutting point.

My alarm keeps going off I want Ti disconnect it but haven't been able to shut it off. It's not the sensitivity button or anything like that. I'm wondering if this is a fees for the alarm or if I pull

Your alarm is probably an "after market". If so, the module is usually stuffed under the left side dash. Look for 2 wires that where spliced into a "cut" wire. This cut wire is typically the starter wire to the ignition. Remove the 2 wires and reattach the cut wire. Now remove the alarm module

Starts...won't start...not battery, not starter, not alternator. Just clicks when turn key. Some safety start disable???

Mine did the same thing. After having the batt checked and being assured there was nothing wrong with it I went "old school" and pulled and cleaned the batt cable ends. Also cleaned the connections just downstream from the ends as they were easy to get to. Haven't had a starting problem in 8 months now so must have found something. Hope this helps ya . Sometimes we get so wound in in high tech that forget the KISS system of troubleshooting.

I am going to explain something rather weird and some people will even say what's the difference. In your case it would be all thwe difference in the world. A "short" in a car will cause fuses to blow. An intermittent open in a car will cause things to operate only when they gt power. You have an open. There are more things wrong with the car you just haven't noticed them. The accessory position on your key feeds several spots on your fuse panel and in some cases is even split to feed multiple spots on the fuse panel. Take a piece of wire and run it from your battery positive to your radion fuse on the radio side. Pull the radion fuse, turn on the key, and check which side of the fuse socket has power. The one that doesn't is the radio side. Pu the wire there. radio should start working now. Cut this wire. The next time your radio dies, tie this wire together to see if the radio comes back on. Start there.

My truck just clicks once when I try to start it. I have replaced the selenoid, taken the starter and had it checked (its good), I have cleaned and checked all the wires. It finally crunk once after all...

I have repair so many of these with this problem, the problem is belive it or not the cable going to the starter, right where the connecter end is that bolts to the starter, you will need to cut that one off and put a new one on, this uses a end that slides over the cable with a soilder pellet then you heat connector to melt the soilder to make connection or replace the cable, have someone hold the key in the crank postion and move the cable around at the starter it will start or spark , try it. hope this is helpful.

Amp or Stereo Cutting out...

I agree with what you think it might be. I really think its the deck that is bad and you should be able to take it back for a new one. Have you tried unplugging the RCA cables to the amp to see if that stops it? That would tell you if the amp is backfeeding or doing something weird.
