Question about Toshiba TLP T70M Multimedia Projector
I have a Gateway GM5664 desktop computer and a Toshiba TLP-T70M projector. Recently, when I turn on the projector and computer and have the projector set to display computer, all that shows up is a question mark in the upper left corner and a message of "Unsupport Signal." I have flipped the outputs on the back of the computer to where the signal that would go to the projector went to the monitor and the correct image showed up on the monitor so I feel the output at the computer is fine. Any suggestions? I don't see anything about this in the owners manual. Thanks!
This is caused by the computer giving out a signal, with either too high resolution or refresh rate for the projector to understand.
So this is completely normal behavior for the projector, tv's and even computer monitors will give you this message if the input is not of its liking.
Before connecting the projector, turn down the resolution to 1024x768. this can be done from start -> control panel -> screen resolution or display. And from there possibly settings page.
Then check the refresh rate, set it to 60HZ, this can be done by clicking advanced and then monitor.
