Menu/Ok - arrow over to Base - Menu/Ok - arrow over to Dial Mode - Menu/Ok - arrow over to pulse or tone - Menu/Ok - It will say "saved" then all should be good.

How do I get my crosley wall phone to work on tone setting? it will only work on the pulse setting which is very slow.

The DTMF [Dual Tone Multi Frequency] tone dialing system operates on Direct Current [DC] and is DEPENDENT ON the PROPER POLARITY of the two phone conductor wires!!!!

IF the polarity is reversed, ONLY the PULSE DIALING WILL WORK!!!!!

USUALLY the Tip and Ring wires are colored Red and Green [I think -- it's been a lotta years!!!!!].

HOWEVER, color really doesn't matter as USUALLY ONLY TWO WIRES ARE CONNECTED TO THE PHONE SO REGARDLESS OF COLOR, JUST REVERSE those two wires.

Try reversing the two wires, and then switch the phone to tone dial and try it. That MAY solve the problem!

If that doesn't solve the problem then it's beyond me!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!

I purchased a emerson 6113bk and I need the manual for it

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

As far as I know, Emerson product model numbers do not begin with numbers - they begin with letters. (But, I've been wrong before.) If it is a phone you're asking about, the model number may be EM6113. The bk prefix usually means that is is black. (Maybe).

Anyway, if the item you have is an EM6113 phone, you can view the user guide by clicking here: EM6113 User Guide

You'll need a PDF reader to view the page. If you don't have one, you can download one here for free: Adobe Reader

If this is not your product, please verify your model number and include exactly what your device is and well continue to assist you. Thanks!

I own a Emerson 6.0 phone. model number EM6113 and it is set when I dial a nimber it sounds like a rotarty phone and I want to change it to a pushbutton or tone sound when dialing.

I am not too familiar with who makes Emerson, but look around the back, some times on the bottom and there may be a physical switch for pulse/Tone. Otherwise, it is in the internal programming menu. In that case, go into the set up menu, scroll to phone settings, and there will be a pulse / tone choice there.

Can't change to pulse dialing

The Vetech phone will only support tone dialing. It does have a menu option that turns tone on or off but it still will not allow pulse dialing. I had to change the phone service from pulse dialing to tone dialing to get the phones to work. As it turned out, the phone company no longer charges extra for the tone service.

Ge 900 MHz cordless phone set on rotary dialing

Lisa, If the 900MHZ phone is Model 26928M programming for rotary dial usually goes like below, can't hurt to try on any model. TONE/PULSE DIALING This adjustment allows you to select tone (touch-tone) or pulse (rotary) mode dialing. The phone is pre-set for touch-tone use. To set to tone or pulse dialing: 1. Press and hold the program button for two seconds. You will hear a beep. 2. Press the *tone button to select Tone Dialing or press #pause to select Pulse Dialing. 3. Press the program button again. You will hear a confirmation tone.
