Question about Xerox Phaser 6250DP Laser Printer
Hey, Just recently my Phaser 6250 stated printing "muddy" Like the logo from our company has always printed perfect on the printed and now it prints really dark and muddy. I've already gone through the color correction and brightness controls on the printer.
I've printed out a "Supplies Usage" page and here are the numbers:
Cyan: 99% (this was low so I thought that this was the problem so I replaced it... it's not the problem.)
Transfer Roller: OK
Imaging Unit: 46%
I've contacted XEROX and they didn't help. I also called a Xerox Service Provider and they said that the "laser might be dirty" and they will come and look at it for $200. Blah!
That really sounds like the imaging unit cleaner has an issue.
If you have one try the imaging unit, I really suspect that is your problem.
Black is Faded or Missing Step 1 Clean the Laser Windows and Remove Excess Toner From the Imaging Unit Step 2 Check or Replace the Imaging Unit Gear Retaining Pin Step 3 Replace the Imaging Unit (installation instructions)
See if this link works. Xerox is infameous for these not working.
