Your power supply board needs to be REPAIRED not REPLACED, replacing the board will just make the problem happen again in two years or less, if you can use a screwdriver you can send me the board and I will repair it for less than it would cost you to do it yourself ($50) with the correct components. Had power surge. Tv was on surge protector. Now no power will come on and just makes a buzzing sound.

Have you tried plugging it in without the surge protector? I would wager that either a) the surge protector needs to be reset/turned on and off depending on the model or b) either your TV and/or surge protector have been damaged by the power surge.

Try plugging the TV straight into the outlet and see if that helps.

I have a samsung dnie dlp tv that makes a buzzing sound when you turn it on.

The sound is made by the power source that is overstressed by a failing part - it's about to die. This usually happens because the capacitors on the power source have aged and they starting to behave as a short.
Open the tv and replace them all.

Buzzing sound

Hello, This is a problem with the switching transformer or the ballast used to fire the backlight. You will have to replace the ballast and or the switching transformer soon. In order to replace these items, I would suggest taking it to a qualified TV technician for servicing. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

LG 47" LCD TV - 47LC7DF Clicking Noise

I was told that these clicking noises (which happen on my Magnavox LCD too) were due to the "power required" at the internal switch. Seems that the power required to immediately turn on the TV is too much for a standalone household outlet, so it "surges" power in a series to get enough there. Hence, the clicking sounds are actually mini power surges to send more power to the internal circuits to turn the TV on.

If your set is like mine, these noises generally stop after a minute or two, correct?

Samsung LN-T3253H LCD Sound Problems

PEOPLE, YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO THE STORE, BUY THE SAME TV AGAIN, SWAP THE TV'S AT HOME AND RETURN THE "OLD" TV IN THE "NEW" BOX WITH THE NEW RECEIPT. IN THE CASE OF TOO MANY RETURNS, HAVE A FRIEND, MOM, DAD, SISTER, GIRLFRIEND TO BUY ONE FOR YOU AND DO THE SWAP LATER.
NOTE: I REALLY HATE DOING THIS TO THE STORES, BUT IF YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING IT SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 30-40 DAYS. PROBLEM SOLVED! :)
